Hello everyone, and, welcome.
This is my new adventure in myspace as of April, 2007. I'm trying to do a little more with the page each day, so if anything is note quite up to snuff, please let me know! I hope you enjoy the music. Biography
Chris was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but has spent most of his life in the greater Seattle area. He is in demand as both a tenor soloist, and professional chorister. Chris has performed with such groups as Choral Arts Northwest, The Tudor Choir, Seattle Opera (making his debut at the grand opening of McCaw Hall in the chorus for Wagner's Parsifal), Seattle Pro Musica, and the Seattle Choral Company. He has also had the opportunity to work with such noted conductors as Asher Fisch, Stewart Kershaw, Peter Phillips, Richard Sparks and Richard Nance.
Chris studied music at Pacific Lutheran University, where he had the opportunity to study voice with Barry Johnson - Baritone, and conducting and chorus with Dr. Richard Sparks.
As a soloist, Chris has appeared in many of the world's greatest venues, including Stephansdom in Vienna, and Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, Norway. Chris has premiered several works including the tenor solo in Alice Parker's "An American Kedusha" in 2000, and the European premier as tenor soloist in Richard Nance's Mass for a New Millennium in 2002. Chris has also appeared as a soloist before the World Harp Congress(2002), the American Guild of Organist National convention (2000), the Albiate Music Festival in Albiate, Italy (2002).
While working as a volunteer, Chris has worked with the likes of Ward Swingle, Eric Ericsen, Simon Carrington, Bob Chilcott, and Andrew Carter. Chris was one of the managing directors for the Lynnwood Jazz Festival (1996-97), has volunteered for Europa Cantat and the World Symposium on Choral Music (1999), and has supported many groups throughout the Seattle are including Choral Arts, the Esoterics, the Seattle Bach Choir, Seattle Pro Musica, and the Pacific Sound Sweet Adelines Chorus.
In his spare time, Chris loves to travel and is a certified travel agent. He loves dogs, good friends, is bit of a "techie", and enjoys learning of any kind. Chris has recently taken up photography.
