Jacob Ryan Paul

Hello, my name is Jacob Ryan Paul. I am a baritone entering my third year at the University of New Mexico. I have studied voice with Michael Mauldin and am currently studying with Prof. Marilyn Tyler. My freshman year I was in the opera chorus for Cosi Fan Tutte and was also a super in that production as well. This past spring, I sang the bass armed guard and priest in The Magic Flute as well as understudied Papageno. In addition to these productions I have also performed in UNM Opera Theatre's Scenes Concerts. Besides singing I love love love to cook for my friends and when I get a chance to, my parents. I can honestly say that I have never failed at a pasta dish! I love learning recipes from my big sister Anna and Brother-in-Law Matt. My niece Kierstin and nephew Ayden mean the world to me. Thank God they appreciate opera! I am quirky and love to laugh. No one makes me laugh more than my best friend Hannah Stephens. An incredibly gifted singer herself, she always pushes me to do my absolute best no matter what. If it weren't for her I am positive I would go mad in this department. All in all I am just your average 20-year-old trying to get through college while living life to the fullest! :-)
