ABOUT ME...
I was born in Columbus, Ohio, but my family roots are south of the Ohio River. So are most of my musical influences.
I admire contemporary artists such as Brad Paisley or Alison Krauss, but I don't write with anyone particular in mind. That's not why I write. Usually, I'm just trying to get an idea out of my head before I lose it. The idea...not my head.
Although, I will admit, after I've written a song, I play this little game I like to call, "Who might cut this?"
I'm a songwriter, not an artist. But I really enjoy putting my musical ideas in front of live audiences. It's an amazing thing, seeing people react to the music. That's really the whole point.
I'm happily married to a Canadian beauty who frequently joins me onstage when I do perform. We live in Toronto, but we divide our time between there and Nashville.
Thanks for checking out my songs. If you like what you hear, I'd really appreciate it if you'd tell your friends and pass along the link to my page. Don't be a stranger.
(Special thanks to Kathryn Hollinrake for my "headshot" photo and for the photo at the top of this page. Please check out her amazing work at www.hollinrake.com)
