It's All Good!!!

About Me

Nashville is home to country music artist, Jaclyn North, and while Jaclyn has been performing for only three years, she is already winning fans and friends wherever she sings. Give Jaclyn her guitar and a great song, and she is sure to put a smile on your face! Coming from a strong family unit that is built around honesty, hard work and commitment, Jaclyn learned early in life that fortitude and focus are the foundational ingredients to success.A native Texan, Jaclyn discovered her love for song and the stage only a few years ago. She spent her childhood playing competitive fastpitch softball. Nicknamed “Crazy Eight” by her teammates, Jaclyn was known for her sense of humor and work ethic behind home plate. Around the age of thirteen, Jaclyn started listening to country music and secretly wanted to sing. As a child, there had been no country music in the home because her dad felt it was not a wholesome influence on a young girl! The only music in the house was oldies, Disney music, and inspirational tunes. What Dad didn’t know was that Jaclyn and her older sister were listening to country music in the car when he wasn’t around! In 2004, Jaclyn was invited to sing as a fill-in at a local July 4th festival. That feeling of singing into a microphone kept her well-motivated when it took a full six months to convince her mother to let her audition for the Garland (Texas) Opry, where LeAnn Rimes had gotten her performance start. As a result, Jaclyn performed on local stages throughout Texas for the the next three years. She quickly realized that she would need to play guitar and write to be taken seriously as a performer. So with her work ethic in tow, she taught herself to play guitar from eight years of piano lessons. She combined her creative writing skills, her love of music and the guitar into crafting her songs. Her first were about country queens, preacher’s kids and heroes- not typical teenage topics! Until her move to Nashville in 2007, Jaclyn performed on local stages all across Texas and performed regularly each week at the USO for troops being deployed to Iraq. Jaclyn is now living in Nashville and is focusing on writing and building her catalogue of songs.Jaclyn’s music has been described as a smooth blend of traditional country and southern rock, with a sultry kiss of blues. Chuck McKinley of the East Texas “Ranch” radio station put it best when he described Jaclyn’s style as a “controlled, reckless abandonment.”Music Row powerhouses Kim Wood Sandusky, Suzzane Skinner, and Sharon Eaves are developing Jaclyn’s rich talents to ready her for the long career ahead. Jaclyn North lives to entertain and show her love for people and the music, one audience at a time. She’s a True Texas Original.
