The Immigrant

About Me

The Immigrant, based on the play of the same name, is the story of a young Jewish immigrant who fled the pogroms of Czarist Russia in 1909 and pushed his banana cart into the tiny Baptist community of Hamilton, Texas. Given shelter by a childless older couple, he sends for his wife, raises a family, and makes this town his home. A true story of parents and children, newcomers and natives, Christians and Jews, and the realization of the American Dream.
The Immigrant has been produced off-Broadway and in regional theatres such as Denver Center Theatre Company, Coconut Grove Playhouse, Arizona Theatre Company, Northlight Theatre, and Westport Playhouse.

Well, look at Steven: orchestrator for the New York Times!
: Actually Actually, he's prouder of his work as engineer/producer of the audio. Lots of fussing, which wasn't what he was originally asked to do. But when he talked with David about my thoughts, he asked Steven to take it on. If you're interested in hearing more about the process, comment and/or message and he might do a bloggish-type thing about it....
