About Me

MySpace Layouts My friends call me 'Miss Bev' - don't ask me why - but I kinda like it. I play piano for a living - but really I'm lucky enough to make it my life. I mainly work in Music Theatre in Sydney & have been fortunate enough to work on some very cool shows - I'm currently playing on 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert' which I absolutely love. I also work on a lot of Cabaret shows & have had the fortune to meet some of the most wonderful people who will be lifetime friends - so, I suppose for me this is what I mean when I say that music has become my life - I've managed to achieve some great goals, though I'd be much happier if my butt were one size smaller - sorry - I digress !! Where was I ?? My Butt - NO !! thats wrong - my achievements !! I'm very proud to say that I've played the Grand Organ at the Opera house with the Sydney Symphony dressed in leather pants, an effort which I think I can say has never been repeated & the likelihood of which ever being repeated - zero - I have played "Bohemian Rhapsody' in front of Brian May & Roger Taylor - and have played for Grammy award winner 'Thelma Houston' who told me I sounded like an orchestra - & also Venetta Fields who told me that no-one plays Amazing Grace as good as me. OK, so now I'm bragging - but what the hell - I did it !! These are a few golden moments that will be sweet forever. I have a feisty cat called Marzipan who is the Princess of our house & a boyfriend I love more than anything who wishes to remain anonymous - he has nothing to do with music which reminds me that there is a world outside of my own - Thankfully.Bio - Professional Productions Priscilla, Queen of the Desert - Keyboards Listen To My Heart - Musical Director Short, Sweet & Song - Musical Director Open Mic Idle - Musical Director The Producer's - Keyboards Putting it Together - Musical Director We Will Rock You - Keyboards The Lion King - Repetiteur - Keyboards Sunset Boulevard - Keyboards Cats - Runaway to the Circus - Keyboards Chicago - Piano & Accordian Fame the Musical - Rehearsal pianist Little Shop of Horrors - Keyboards Crazy For you - Keyboards Pirates of Penzance - Assistant Musical Director - (Aria Award Winner best soundtrack) The Mikado - Assistant Musical Director South Pacific - Keyboards Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat - Keyboards Hats Off Concerts Musical Director & Keyboards Tenor Australis - EMI Recording Artists - Musical Director Pianist for Kerry Packer's Memorial service Pianist for The Premier's Concerts Pianist for The Channel 7 Lord Mayor's Xmas Carols Accompanist for Aunty Mavis, Kaye Tuckerman, Shaun Rennie, Toni Lamond, Trevor Ashley, Margi De Ferranti, Belinda Wollaston & many others. Beethoven - my first crush - what a cliche I am - but those knitted eyebrows, that furrowed brow - how drop dead sexy is this firey Saggitarian - David Sedaris- Another wickedly evil Queen who I think would be devilishly fun !! Also Charlie Chaplin who founded the world of movies. My Dream Dinner party guests would be, Bobby McFerrin, Whoopi Goldberg, Robin Williams, Quincy Jones & Eddie Izzard.
