Alex Ryder is a pop/rock, singer/songwriter with a compelling voice, dark beauty and mesmerizing stage presence. Shes gritty and shes sexy, shes seductive and electric.
Alex, was born into the black culture of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, the child of a multi-racial marriage. As a young girl she exhibited not only remarkable musical talent but astonishing athletic skill as well, and because of her amazing hand/eye coordination she eventually chose to play table tennis. She quickly rose to the top and pursued table tennis on the Canadian National Team.
All the time Alex was training athletically she was also singing and playing guitar. She sang in every Karaoke club from Eastern Europe to China, entertaining other athletes worldwide as they trained and competed. She was inducted into the Wall of Fame in the Black Cultural Centre for Table Tennis in Nova Scotia as well as the Wall of Fame in Canadas capital city of Ottawa.
When her career in table tennis came to an end due to injury, she began to sing and play full time. As an elite athlete, Alex knew what it meant to work hard and play hard, and she focused her energy on her singing and songwriting.
Her extraordinary beauty, sultry powerful voice, enthusiasm and electrifying stage presence combine to produce a talent that is truly unique. Alexs songs encompass the passion and individuality that marks her as an entertainer people never forget.
Alex is currently in the studio with her co-writers and producer, Joe Turner, working of her upcoming CD.
