WEIR MANAGEMENT is a Toronto/New York based artist management company. WM is the combination of the skills of brothers Brad and Patrick Weir. The two bring together a wide history in management and entertainment marketing. Originally launched in the mid-eighties, Brad managed Canadian icons Bachman Turner Overdrive as well as Orphan. While Patrick took on the management of several artists including Elektra recording artists No Love Lost, signing them to a major recording contract via New York in 1991. It was in the mid-ninties with the state of the industry, the pair decided to focus more on the entertainment marketing aspect of their skills.
The brothers continued their alliance excelling to the top of the entertaiment marketing field with the company Encore. Creating major entertainment based programs for such brands as Molson, Coca-Cola, Miller USA and Jack Daniels. It was with this history, that they decided to venture back into artist management in 2003. They quickly began work with a few select artists, landing a major US deal with their first new artist Oliver Black in 2004.
They return with a vast knowledge of what it takes to get things done in the music industry in this day and age. Marketing and creative have become strongholds in today's market and this team has a strong gasp on it all including entertainment marketing, business management, image consultation, sponsorship, promotion, touring and artist delevopment. It is these facets and more that make them an asset for their roster of artists.
