The McAfee Twins are every bit as hilarious [as Stephanie Plum] and twice as much fun. -Myshelf.com

About Me

VOTE FOR MY BOOK IN THE AMAZON BREAKTHROUGH NOVEL AWARDS! (Contest ends at midnight on March 31, 2008.) Mama needs a new publishing contract!

Famous Critic Kaz Endorses Hellraiser of Hollywood Hills
..
My novels are comic mysteries set in Los Angeles, featuring identical twin detectives Kerry and Terry McAfee. (And their sidekicks: Muffy the pug and Paquito the Pomeranian.)
The McAfee Twins ply their trade from the back of a shocking pink Harley Davidson, keeping the world safe from all manner of evil-doers: Yemeni terrorists, unscrupulous dentists, alien cult leaders, transgendered mobsters——proving once and for all that...TWO PAIRS OF PRIVATE EYES ARE BETTER THAN ONE.

Confidential, Scarface, JFK, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Chicago, The Seven Samurai, Roman Polanski's MacBeth, Once Upon a Time in the West, Throne of Blood (Kurosawa), Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, The Sixth Sense, Casablanca, Singing in the Rain, Election, Clerks, A New Leaf (1971), Frenzy, Psycho, Being John Malkovitch, The Big Sleep (1946), Wings (Der Himmel über Berlin, 1987), Schindler's List, Double Indemnity, The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946), THX 1138, The Maltese Falcon, A Shot in the Dark, The Pink Panther, Do the Right Thing, The Pajama Game, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, Dawn of the Dead, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Full Monty, Gladiator, The People vs. Larry Flynt, The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, The Hunger, Memento, Reservoir Dogs, Rushmore, Risky Business...I'm stopping now. (How many is that?)

Television:

Reno 911, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, South Park, Absolutely Fabulous, Forensics Files, Psychic Detectives, Psychic Investigators, Hardball with Chris Matthews, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Sopranos, Desperate Housewives, Catherine Crier Live, The Ellen Degeneres Show, The Office, Star Trek, Fawlty Towers, Arrested Development (even though they stole my Aunt Reba character...)

Books:

I could list hundreds. But really, who gives you more bang for your buck than the McAfee Twins?
Terry and Kerry have kicked the ass of dodgy plastic surgeons and Russian mobsters (The Butcher of Beverly Hills), brain-washing cultists and murderous over-the-hill actresses (The Mangler of Malibu Canyon), social vampires who deal in black market blood (The Vampire of Venice Beach), and foreign agents and dangerous divorcees(The Con Artist of Catalina Island).
These identical twin redheads, PIs who vanquish Los Angeles baddies from the back of a shocking pink Harley, deserve to be in the pantheon of great literary heroines!

Heroes:

Jesus, Martin Luther King, JFK, Gandhi...basically anyone who died for suggesting we should be nicer to each other. Also, Copernicus, Giordano Bruno, and anyone who was killed, tortured, or imprisoned for the belief that the earth goes around the sun and not vice versa...
