It's taken me all my life to learn what not to play.

About Me

I'm a life-long drummer with an appreciation for in the pocket groove drumming.I try to remember that my No. 1 job is to keep solid time; my No. 2 jobs are to make the band and the song sound good. Period. If you're looking for a drummer for live gigs or session work, then we need to talk !In my 20 years of playing, I've covered just about every genre out there (try me!) Lately, I really enjoy playing original singer-songwriter folk-rock (especially with a unique sound and energy!) I've also been singing for about 15 years and would love the opportunity to sing backing vocals, too.I'm playing out a lot currently as a freelance drummer with various bands, mostly in the Cleveland area. In the past few months alone, I've worked with Cedar Creek (original pop-country, 4 singles on Clear Channel radio), Stealing Heather (original brit-pop), Lost State of Franklin (original roots/americana), Lauren Dragon (original jazz/soul, star of "Love, Janis"), and Zach (original acoustic singer/songwriter with fire) - a motely crue to say the least. Check them out on my Friends list!I'm also pretty busy teaching these days - private drum lessons in the Cleveland, OH area, along with some workshops and clinics. (Teaching really is a learning process!) I've been teaching for over a decade already...if you're interested, send me a message !My "day job" is a company I started called Woodshed Percussion Concepts ( www.WoodshedPercussion.com or visit us on myspace: myspace.com/WoodshedPercussionConcepts ) as an outlet for some new percussion products I designed as well as drum instruction. I'm happy to say it's been growing steadily since 2000.
