From 2002-2004 Rich was a member of the band RUSHLOW (Lyric Street) whose top 10 hit, "I Can’t Be Your Friend Anymore" is still a re-current favorite on country radio. Rich visited 14 countries while touring with the band, visited every radio station in the U.S. (literally) and experienced all of the trappings of a popular touring act.

Rich attended the University of North Texas where he received a Master’s Degree in Music Education and Percussion. While there, he also played drums in the world renowned 1:00 Lab Band under Neil Slater and played percussion in the 2:00 Lab Band under Jim Riggs. Rich performed with RANDY BRECKER, LOU MARINI, BOB MINTZER, ANDY LAVERNE, FRANK MANTOOTH, TONY CAMPISE, DENNIS DiBLASIO, and BOB BECKER while attending this world class school. This amazing ’classical’ training, combined with Rich’s ’street’ experience make for a lethal combination in the studio.
