This Video Coverage is a series of clips from the first 2-3 live shows when I "first came out" as a Country Artist in 1999... The music is from Live Shows... Not studio... Enjoy!"OOOOOH, How I wish they would have had low-riding boot cut jeans back in 1999"... :o)"Life REALLY Is Like A Canvas So Throw All The Paint On It You Can..."Thats what I have said for years and have lived by... We are all individuals walking around this great big world... "Throwing paint makes us all Unique... "I'm just your typical country gal. I grew up with a fun and crazy family ~ Two sisters, a mom and dad. I spent most of my summers on the road with my father who had a steel erecting company. So in between Christian Camp and visiting relatives, you could find us kids out on the road. I guess that is where I get my love for dinners, country music and truck stops.Since I was little, you could find me singing and performing to any crowd who would listen. The first performer I saw live on stage was Tanya Tucker. I realized then and there that music and performing would become my heart and soul. I remember it like it was yesterday, standing for hours with my dad waiting for a signed autograph, Tanya's people yelling out, "Thank you, but Tanya will not be signing anymore autographs†and into her trailer she went. I started crying, but my Dad, thinking “Oh no, not on my watchâ€, waited a few minutes and then went right up to her trailer and knocked on the door. Amazingly, she came out, shook his hand, hugged me, wiped away my tears and signed my stuffed dog I had brought with me. I felt like I had won the biggest prize in the world. I still have it to this day! When asked as a kid what I wanted to be when I grew up? I was going to be a truck driver or a country singer! Well, one out of two isn't bad! LOLAfter spending several years fronting Black Pearl, a successful rock and roll outfit, I returned to my country roots and started my own band in 1999. I splashed onto the country music scene with some of country’s most talented musicians (including Shania Twain guitarist David Malachowski, Howland "Wolf" Bickerstaff, Peter Haggarty of "Haggarty's Restaurant†and more). Playing in front of thousands of fans at large agricultural fairs, festivals, radio and television appearances and concerts, I was right at home on the country stage! As my name became more familiar within the country world, I started getting larger venues with a larger fan base and had the honor to perform with and open for, among others, Doug Stone, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Daryl Worley, Steve Holy, JoDee Messena, Jennifer Day, Chalee Tennison, Shana Petron, BlackHawk, Chely Wright, Sammy Kershaw and many, many more. After writing and recording my first Demo/CD throughout 2000-2001 at the “Studio†in Portland Maine, In the Spring of 2002, I was back out on the road playing shows such as OP SAIL "The Tall Ships" (to over 400,000 fans over the course of the weekend), Picnic In The Park, Old Port Festival, many shows through WPOR 101.9 FM Country (can’t spell Portland without POR) and up and down the East Coast.Later that fall, I was offered a radio tour with a well known rock band across Australia, but couldn’t get it scheduled right. WHO KNEW then that Nickelback would be such a well known name? Doh!! (File that in the What was I Thinking Category?)At the cusp of 2004, I returned to the studio at Allaire Studios in New York. With an outstanding and well seasoned group of musicians, my NY crew included:DAVID MALACHOWSKI-Lead Guitar,PRODUCER, (Shania Twain, Savoy Brown, Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen,Janie Fricke,Troy Gentry,John Michael Montgomery and countless others), GARY BURKE-Drums (Bob Dylan, Joe Jackson, Shania Twain, The Band, Donald Fagan, Graham Parker), GRAHAM MABY- Bass (Joe Jackson, Shania Twain, Natalie Merchant,Freedy Johnston), AARON "PROFESSOR LOUIE" HURWITZ - Piano,Organ,Hammond (Rick Danko, The Band, Mercury Rev, Garth Hudson, David Nelson Band), LARRY PACKER-Violin (The Band, player on The Last Waltz, Cat Mother and the All Night News Boys - produced by Jimi Hendrix, Lou Reed, Bonnie Raitt) and more. A fantastic experience.A “Special Thanks†goes out to the NY Crew. All of them were just amazing. I was the 5th artist to record at Allaire, right after Nora Jones and Tim McGraw! www.Allairestudios.comWe later mastered the Demo/CD at Bob Ludwig's Gateway Mastering in Portland Maine, in February of 2004 working with Grammy Award winner Adam Ayan (Rascal Flatts, Nine Inch Nails, et..). Thanks Bob and Adam!An even larger "Thank You" goes out to my writing partner, Barry Arving Young, who helped co-write my material... Connection is all I have to say! :o)Over the past few years, I have been engaged in extensive songwriting and working on a whole new, fresh/energetic stage show and performance. With the help of all of my fans and my new professional band, I am returning to the road and looking forward to a bright 2009.Thank you for all your support! It means the world to me and I can’t wait to see you all soon! (hopefully at the CMA's..."Oh, how I have waited, I’d like to Thank…")So, be looking for me...XOKelly~
