I have lots of interests. I am a psych major, mom of a teenagerand I love to read. I love facts.
I am interested in a wide variety of things such as ecology, psychology, history, science, fantasy, sci-fi, horror and environmental conspiracy novels.
I consider myself to be a feminist and a political independent. I'm pro-choice and anti-republican.
I have little to no tolerance for stupidity, racism, right-wing zealots who believe a lot but know very little, and slow drivers. They make me want hood-mounted missile launchers to be legal and readily available!
I have an interest in the gang culture - what makes it attractive to some people, and what do all of the symbols in the tattoos mean to their wearers?
Maybe it's because of my interests in history and spirituality combined with what I learned in art appreciation and at work, but I'm fascinated by tattoos.
I also like some of the less "socially acceptable" things, such as body piercings, bondage, bikers - and I don't mean the kind you pedal or riceburners, either. Then again, what is socially accpetable depends upon whom one chooses to associate with. I find punks, bikers, and people covered in tattoos and piercings to be much more interesting than your average white bread types. They often tend to be nicer and more down-to-earth, believe it or not.
I'm interested in religions other than the big 3 Abrahamic ones. I'm interested in Paganism and witchcraft of course, but also in Shamanism, Druidry, Hinduism, and Buddhism.

I'm interested in evolution, anthropology, history, archeology, and the relationships between all of those things. I'm particularly interested in human evolution, ancient history, and the development of technology and religous beliefs.
I like puzzle games like Tetris and Mah Jongg, and I enjoy strategy games like Othello and Mastermind.

Heavy Metal, protest songs, some folk, some rap and other stuff~
I love Ozzy and Metallica! I like musicians with attitude and something to say. I can't stand songs that are about nothing but dancing or getting laid.
I like watching the ones with body mods, too.
Sci-fi, fantasy, and horror flicks rock! "An Inconvenient Truth" was interesting, and so was the documentary the ACLU sent me, "Dissent."
But every so often, I like a romantic comedy.
I may not believe in all the theories in all of the following documentaries, but I think the list should be available so everyone can see alternative viewpoints and make informed decisions based on more than what the mass media says or what rumors are going around at the local watering hole.
I don't watch a lot of tv. I have a job and I'd rather be where I can actually interact with real people.
I like the soap opera Guiding Light on CBS. I like CNN. I like CSI and NCIS - especially Abby.
Abby rocks!
When I'm not studying, I love sci-fi and fantasy novels.

The Dragonlance saga is my favorite fantasy series. I also like other Margaret Weis/Tracy Hickman works, plus Anne Rice and Stephen King. I also read historical novels set in medieval England and earlier and spiritual/Wiccan books if they're not just the basic Wicca 101 books that are all over the place.
Lately, I've also gotten into the historical
Grail search type of books, not just the Arthurian legends, (which I also LOVE) but that other whole slew of books before and after the DaVinci Code that explore the history of that secret as well as the secret societies supposedly set up to keep the secret and protect the Grail descendents.
Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Opra Winfrey, as well as all of the women who've fought the good fight for women's suffrage and other rights, as well as those who continue the effort in the present. I also admire Cindy Sheehan, Ralph Nader and Barack Obama.
You GO girls!!!
And in my real, offline, day-to-day life...
Louis
This is my best friend in the whole world. He doesn't do computers, the typing would drive him up the wall because he's dyslexic, but he's smart and funny and the truest friend a person could ever have.
This is a few years later, when Louis showed up for a surprise visit. He is holding my friend's daughter, and I'm holding his hair. (He's cut it since then.)
This is Louis wrapping his ponytail around my neck. The face in the bottom corner is my husband watching our antics and laughing at us. (Yes, my husband knows my
best friend is a guy. They get along fine.)
This last one shows my husband's best friend, Jon, and Louis. Several of our local friends came over to welcome Louis to town. These two fell asleep well into the night...
This is me and my sister having fun at a vintage photography place in Salem, Massachucetts during our roadtrip there in October, 2005. We had a blast doing this and several other things, as well as getting to spend quality time together.
This is a fake glamour shot of me. A word of advice - if you're going to have this kind of pictures done, check the place out and go to a real glamor photo thing. I went to a travelling one years ago that was pretty good, but this place didn't do a thing with my hair or make-up that I couldn't have done better myself.
This is actually from 2 different photos that I scanned in together. You can kinda tell that from the different angles of the fridge. Anyways, the kid is good at making me laugh... (that's my baby, who's always quick to tell me that she's not a baby anymore)
