ASCOLTA L'INTERO ALBUM IN ATTESA DELL'USCITA DEL SECONDO ALBUM ATTUALMENTE IN PRODUZIONE!!!!!!!

We play together since late september 2001. As we deeply enjoy the taste of the plum distillate "slivovitz", that's where our name comes from. During these years, we've released a record for a label called ethnoworld (www.ethnoworldmusic.com) and played a lot, either in Italy and abroad (especially Hungary, where we played also in SZIGET 2004 under the name "Jeff & The Wild Slivovitz), winning several competition of Jazz and instrumental music in general. We are based mainly in Naples, but some of us are currently living or working in Rome and in Milan. We do feel the task to keep it up, though! Influences: There are so many of them, just like Primus, Daniele Sepe, the amazing hungarian band Besh O Drom, Joe Zawinul, Jaco Pastorius, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Tortoise, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Isotope 217, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Jorge Ben, Caetano Veloso, Amon Tobin, John Coltrane, Ali Farka TourÃ©, Bob Marley, James Brown, Maceo Parker, Tony Williams, Frank Zappa, Bill Frisell, Steve Reich, Jon Hassell, the great bass player Avishai Cohen, all the folk music from eastern Europe and from Africa... and the harmonica player is heavily influenced by John Popper and The Rolling Stones.
