About Me

The City of Tulsa Pipes and Drums is a non-profit corporation. Our purpose is to promote Celtic and related culture through traditional bagpipe and drum music.
The Bands first album "Airson Donnchaidh" is dedicated to our friend, and band mate. Duncan Fuller who was taken from us on September 4, 2003 while enroute to one of the band's competitions in Estes Park, Colorado. Duncan appears on several of tracks of the album. While we can never fill the void that remains, we have named the album in his honor..."For Duncan"
"Donnchaidh, sith do d'annam, is Clach air do Charn.
The City of Tulsa Pipes and Drums (CTPD) are led by Pipe Major Bill Tetrick. P/M Tetrick is the former pipe major for the 7th Calvary Pipes and Drums, served in the United States Army, and is an accomplished musician. P/S Rick Ewing is an extrodinary talent able to play any instrument you put in his hands. These two gentlemen offer lessons to beginning and advanced pipers.
CTPD is a Non-Profit Organization and has been performing since 1976.
The CTPD endeavors to engage and enhance the Scottish and Celtic music landscape by playing the Great Highland Pipes and Drumming at diverse venues and events. Our mission is to bring the vitality of highland culture to people everywhere by performing traditional and contemporary piping arrangements across Oklahoma and other states.
As a competition band The City of Tulsa Pipes and Drums compete across the region, including Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and one of the nations largest highland games in Colorado.
Besides placing in competitions the band has numerous awards for individual piping and drumming including the 2005 Champion Supreme Drum Major in the MWPBA .
CTPD is a member of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association .
