The Cobra-Matics

Come See what's Under the Hood!

About Me

Hailing from Providence, RI, The Cobra-Matics are about to achieve legendary status through out the musical universe! Featuring Diamond Dan White (singer and acoustic rhythm guitar), The Colonel (Electric lead guitar), Backwards Bob Mac (upright and electric Fender bass), and "Snake" Kroger (Drummer and Cymbal player) this wild and wooly bunch take their name from the Colonel's 1958 Zenith "Cobra-Matic" high fidelity record player. The Cobra-Matics are making great strides through perseverence, good taste, and great showmanship. The band has adopted a style all their own but are not afraid to admit the influences of early blues, country, gospel, R&B, 50's rock-n-roll, and rockabilly. The sounds of Big Joe Turner, Elvis Presley, Bill Haley, Mickey Baker, and many others are always heard jumpin out of the speakers of the Cobra-Matic. And when the band hits the stage music fans of all ages and styles will appreciate the band's dedication to preserve the Roots of American Rock and Roll. This is a rare group of musicians that believe in what they are doing and what they are playing right down to the genuine good looks of their matching suits and the great sounds of their vintage gear. These guys got what it takes so the next time you've got an urge for the "real thing" keep your eyes and ears peeled for the rockin' sights and sounds of the Cobra-Matics and pick up thier Debut CD on The Colonels Fabulous new Original Recipe Recordings label available NOW at http://cdbaby.com/cd/cobramatics Retro myspace layout
