Rockabilly is one of the earliest styles of rock and roll music, and emerged in the early-1950's.The term "rockabilly" is a portmanteau of "rock," from rock and roll, and "hillbilly", the latter a reference to the country music (often called "hillbilly music" in the 1940s and '50s) that contributed strongly to the style's development. Other important influences on rockabilly include Western Swing, blues music, boogie woogie, and Jump blues. Although there are notable exceptions, its origins lie primarily in the Southern USA.The influence and popularity of the style waned in the 1960s, but during the late 1970s and early 1980s, rockabilly enjoyed a major revival of popularity that has endured to the present, often within a rockabilly enthusiast subculture. its me, Buddy-Style born as a child of a working class family in September 1964 in West BERLIN .
The Berlin Wall which split families was 3 years old. As a teenager I was loitering with some Soldiers of the US-ARMY which served at the McNair Barracks affected my taste in music.At first I was "touched" by Buddy-Holly (the first unknown Rockabilly years) & Bo Diddley.This music was rare & hot - different as Pop music.
As a young child I formed "Buddy & his pretty Boys" a group against violence on the street - we wanted to have fun , learn to slap the bass, to tap-dance and to dance too - live was funny. In the eighties I was affected from London-style, the fashion & (Neo) Rockabilly music. Bands calling " Pepermint Dandies , The Speedos , The Blue Cats , The Keytones , The polecats & Stray Cats " are my favorites.
In the nineties I travel around the world, learn about real live and people.
17 years later ... live goes up & down, such as Rock n Roll.
Now I m working as financial advicer on an elevator company, I m in love only in one woman :-), I m old and sage ... with a smile on my face...live is beautiful with a taste of Single Malt Whisky and the good old music
