Swing DeVille (New CD available now!)

Swing music for the 21st century and beyond!

About Me

Blending stringed instruments and a myriad of musical styles, this hot swing ensemble creates a unique, "unplugged" listening experience. They draw their musical influences not only from the western swing sound, but also from Gypsy jazz, big band, New Orleans style jazz, old-time fiddling, bluegrass, pop music of the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's, as well as a variety of traditional and contemporary styles. In addition, the band continues to compose original songs and add them to its repertoire. Swing DeVille has a stage presentation designed to delight concert audiences and dancers alike. Their lively stage show is known for its hot swingin' numbers, relaxing ballads, and even a few Beatles or Bill Monroe tunes. The band is comprised of six, young and not so young men who's experiences include fiddle contest championships, working Nashville bands, opening acts for Bill Monroe, and more. They play acoustically, with or without a P.A. system, on quality vintage instruments, and can quickly adjust to fit any volume level or ambiance. Whether a hoedown, a waltz, or a jitterbug, these guys can swing it, cool it, or burn the barn down! Myspace Layouts
