Grassroots Election Protection Activists:
The real heroes of the November 7 election are the tireless grassroots voter protection activists. Tens of thousands of volunteers stood up to counter the well-funded, well-oiled Rove-Bush theft machine. After successive stolen elections in 2000, 2002, and 2004, the volunteers were finally in place to call attention to the computer "glitches" and "irregularities" as well as voter suppression techniques that have become the trademark of Karl Roe. At least half a dozen major reports from the government and universities have pointed out the hackability of electronic voting machines. Without the volunteers on the ground to count the actual number of voters signing in, observing firsthand the technicians "fixing the machines, and discovering flagged provisional voters in Ohio (in Ohio they used actual "stop" signs), Bush and Rove may well have stolen another election.
