In the world of songwriters, Marco Vitali is a cut above the rest.
He knows a good pop song when he writes one; having worked in the biggest italian and spanish studios as a writer/arranger for some of the most popular italian top 40 acts, and with some of the top selling artists in Latin America. But he also knows exactly where the music is coming from, being himself a very talented singer, pianist and guitar player. During the last decade his live experiences led him virtually everywhere. He wrote a really wide range of songs, from pop to rock, from jazz to dance….His solo show features cool re-interpretations of italian classics, touching also the borders of blues, jazz and avant-garde music.Marco’s Background:
Back in the ‘90s he used to be the leader of a band, simply called Banda Vitali. They were for several years one of the craziest, most inspired bands around, working around Marco’s songs with a creative approach that, on one hand, surely kept him VERY far away from the charts but on the other also added lots of new colours to his palette. Banda Vitali won all the live accalades a young band could win.Live Experiences:
In the live shows his stripped down acoustic moments side to side with some occasional, furious, heavy funk. Everything with that pop hook always in mind….which lately became the center of his experience.In Studio:
Recent years were spent less on the stage and more in the control room. Marco gained a lot of experience and learned all the tricks without losing a single inch of inspiration. Marco’s dedication and persistance is already been recognised from top production companies.
He’s a songwriter most of all. When a song is in need of an extra touch, Marco is there to refine the melody, to put the right chord in the right place.
