In our first project we have been committed in the storic-musical research and in the working out of Italian Swing of years '30s and '40s.
The strong interest for the music and its elaboration of the "Swing Epoch" have culminated , in year 2002, in a record "Quei motivetti che ci piaccion tanto!" which collect hits like "Maramao perché sei morto?", "Baciami piccina" or "Tulipan" (that you can listen in this page): unforgettable lyrics and music, which tell about typical Italian experiences and anecdotes of that epoch.
Into this CD we played some tunes with the legendary Italian guitarist Raf Montrasio .

Raf Montrasio was born in 1929 and he’s a guitar legend in Italy.
He plays also mandolin, violin, piano and doublebass!
He’s one of the fathers of electric guitar in Italy.
In the Fifties he toured all around the world with Renato Carosone (a very popular singer and pianist, who wrote the famous "Tu vuo' fa l'Americano").
They played a mix of swing, rock’n’roll, Neapolitan traditional music, etc. They were one of the best band in Italy of last century!
And they were the first pop group that played into Carnegie Hall of New York, in 1958!
During the 50s they had concerts with Nat King Cole, Joao Gilberto, and many other; and they played at Perry Como and Ed Sullivan Show too.
To play with him was a great honour and pleasure for us...!
