"Sure I like country music, I like mandolins, but right now I need a Telecaster through a Vibro-Lux turned up to teeeeeeeeeen!"
- John Hiatt -

I was born, in 1971, in Busto Arsizio (Varese - Italy) and I started to play guitar when I was 14 years old.
My firsts performances have been with different groups in various clubs, playing Rock and Blues.
Afterwards, I became passionate for acoustic guitar music and began to focus on different styles: fingerpicking, flatpicking, alternative tune methods and so on...
In 1998 I obtained the Degree at the D.A.M.S. (Disciplines of Arts, Music and Show), with a thesis on the “Pedagogic Reasons and Aspects of Popular Music using in school”.
In 1999 I became musical consultant, for Mediaset Television Group (the biggest private TV company in Italy and Europe, sited in Milan) but I decided to continue my studies on Musictherapy, Musical Consulting Operating, Arrangements and Afroamerican Music.
I like very much to teach, so I regularly teach guitar in different schools of music.
During these past years I had the chance and pleasure to performe with some of the most important artists of the international guitar panorama, such as Tommy Emmanuel, Stephen Bennett, Thom Bresh, Buster B. Jones, Jim Nichols, Carl Verheyen, Beppe Gambetta, Muriel Anderson and many others...
Since the year 2000 I have performed with singer Anita Camarella and in 2002 we recorded an album titled “Quei motivetti che ci piaccion tanto!” , an homage to the Italian Swing of years ‘30s and ‘40s.
We have toured extensively in Italy, in Europe and in the United States and Radio Stations of Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Hungary, France, Tunisia and Italy have decided to broadcast our music.
In 2003 I recorded my first solo album, titled “Juley” , dedicated to my own compositions for acoustic guitar (featuring Raf Montrasio , guitarist of the well appreciated Renato Carosone’s sextet in the ‘50s).
You are listening the sound of Fabio Munari guitars.
Guitars decorations are made by Anita Camarella .

New CD release! Nuovo CD!
“Spaghetti alla Chitarra”
Davide Facchini & Raf Montrasio
on guitars

Spaghetti alla Chitarra is a way to make homemade spaghetti with a machine called chitarra. So with a chitarra in Italy we can play and make pasta at the same time... just in Italy! We think that the best sauce for our spaghetti are these wonderful Italian melodies played by two great friends who love good music and good food.

Con la Chitarra in Italia possiamo suonare e fare gli spaghetti allo stesso tempo! E quale può essere il miglior condimento se non queste indimenticabili melodie suonate da due grandi amici che amano la buona musica e la buona cucina?

I've dedicated many years to the electric guitar, playing rock and blues in many bands... But my real dream has always been to realize a record with my acoustic guitar only, this instrument so versatile and so fascinating.
In 2003 I have recorded my first solo album, titled “Juley”, dedicated to my own compositions for acoustic guitar (you can listen some of those tunes here, on this page).
I've played guitar styles like flatpicking and fingerpicking.
In particular, into three of these songs, I've played with my wonderful friend Raf Montrasio .

Raf Montrasio was born in 1929 and he’s a guitar legend in Italy.
He plays also mandolin, violin, piano and doublebass!
He’s one of the fathers of electric guitar in Italy.
In the Fifties he toured all around the world with Renato Carosone (a very popular singer and pianist, who wrote the famous "Tu vuo' fa l'Americano").
They played a mix of swing, rock’n’roll, Neapolitan traditional music, etc. They were one of the best band in Italy of last century!
And they were the first pop group that played into Carnegie Hall of New York, in 1958!
During the 50s they had concerts with Nat King Cole, Joao Gilberto, and many others; and they played at Perry Como and Ed Sullivan Show too.
To play with him was a great honour and pleasure for me...!
