Nata per offrire un'occasione di incontro per un pubblico di collezionisti, questa manifestazione è divenuta in breve tempo una classica nel panorama europeo non solo per i cultori della chitarra “vintage†e di qualità , ma in generale per gli amanti della musica.
Questa edizione del 2008, la 17a della serie, è coincisa con il quarantesimo anniversario di un anno molto particolare. Parliamo del 1968, l'anno della contestazione giovanile, delle grandi battaglie per i diritti civili, del fiorire del movimento hippie. Insomma, un momento di grande fermento, che conobbe i suoi eroi ed i suoi martiri.
Tra questi, il più noto fu certamente il Reverendo Martin Luther King, il più giovane premio Nobel per la pace, l'uomo conosciuto dai più per quel famoso «I have a dream...», quel sogno per il quale fu assassinato.
Ecco allora la "Dreamcaster" - una Fender Stratocaster '57 R.I. - che ritrae Martin Luther King, e le principali icone del '68 (due chitarre, donate da Patrizia Bauer e decorate da Renzo Pagliani): come ogni anno uno di questi due strumenti è stato destinato al Museo del Festival, mentre il secondo è stato estratto a sorte tra tutti coloro che hanno assistito ai concerti serali.

National Festival of the Electric and
Acoustic Collectlable Guitar
This event was planned to be a meeting point for the collectors, but in a very short time the festival has become a classic appointment not only for the vintage and high-end guitar fans, but also for all those who consider themselves music lovers.
2008 has been the 17th edition of the festival and also the 40th anniversary of 1968, the year of Peace & Love, Civil Rights and all those subjects which involved the Young Generation.
The greatest personality who can be considered the real hero of that period is surely Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., the man "who had a dream!".
To celebrate his memory we have created a special guitar, which we called the "Dreamcaster", a beautiful instrument based on a real Fender Stratocaster '57 R.I. (given us by Patrizia Bauer, owner of Casale Bauer Spa, and decorated by Renzo Pagliani).
This instrument has been, who made two samples: as every year one of these has been put in our Museum, whilst the second has been drawn free of charge among those people who have attended the evening concerts of the festival.
