A full-length, authorised biography of Albert is out in 2008. Provisionally entitled "Country Boy - the life and times of Albert Lee", with a Foreword by Eric Clapton, the book is written by Derek Watts and published by McFarland and Co. of North Carolina. As well as friends and family from the early Blackheath days, Derek interviewed almost all the music legends with whom Albert has worked, including Eric Clapton, Phil Everly, Emmylou Harris, Chris Farlowe and the Crickets - and of course Hogan's Heroes.
