Nicole Badila gathered first experiences on stage at a very young age. Since she was 10 years old she played concerts with school- and local bands on acoustic and electric guitar. Absolutely fascinated by legendary Jaco Pastorius and Paul Jackson, Louis Johnson, Anthony Jackson, Abe Laboriel, Stanley Clarke, Victor Bailey, Larry Graham, Marcus Miller and Mark King she picked up the electric bass with 14 years and it turned out to be a lifetime love. Nicole started to play Soul, Funk, Rock and Fusion in different bands.
Later on she took classes with Kai Eckhardt, Reggie Workman, Lonnie Plaxico and Decebal Badila. She graduated in 1995 from a Jazz study in Frankfurt/M.; as well she received a scholarship from Berklee College of Music, Boston/USA and did some study trips to USA and Brazil.
Nicole Badila played numerous concerts, festivals etc. and did studio productions for various artists from Jazz, Latin, Funk, Pop, Rock, Soul, Worldmusic, Musicals etc.; She is endorser for HUMAN BASE instruments and GLOCKENKLANG bass equipment and presents them since 1996 on the International Music Fair Frankfurt .
Nicole Badila plays 4-, 5- and 6-string fretted & fretless basses, electric upright & acoustic bass. She is member of various bands (Brasiljazz, Fusion, Jazz, Worldmusic, Pop, Funk), instructor for electric bass & band coach.
