Dal Blue Note di Milano al Supperclub di Roma, dal MClub di Portorotondo al Rock City di Torino, dal Cafè Atlantique di Milano alla Zangola di Madonna di Campiglio, per elencarne alcuni, seguendo la musica del suo cuore, in tutte le sue evoluzioni e contaminazioni... la musica nera.
Nei clubs propone un djset molto ritmico, house con contaminazioni jazz, funk, electronic and afro, prestando sempre molta attenzione al groove.
Fa la differenza il suo background: oggi Dario Piana è uno dei maggiori dj e collezionisti internazionali di vinili rare grooves, jazz, funky, brasil , bossanova e ost.
Dal 2007 si possono ascoltare i suoi set su Radiopellenera, webradio esclusiva, che annovera nel suo staff i massimi dj ed esponenti mondiali di nujazz, nusoul, afrobeat, lounge.
Collabora mensilmente con Radio Zerogravity, Ibiza Global Radio e con altre emittenti europee.

Molte le produzioni discografiche, tra queste la realizzazione di varie compilations e singoli, oltre alla realizzazione di spot tv.
Occasionalmente è possibile incontrarlo come selector, in clubs ed eventi dove non è richiesto il dancefloor, con l'atmosfera cool del soulful, jazz, del rare grooves, del lounge e della bossanova.
L' intento, ogni volta, è quello di far godere le proprie vibrazioni al pubblico...
Il frutto di una ricerca incessante in giro per il mondo a contatto con i massimi esperti musicali lo ha portato ad avere una collezione di vinili rarissimi, che costituiscono la colonna sonora originale della sua vita, sia artistica che privata, senza distinzioni.
Passa da sempre molte ore della sua giornata ad ascoltare dischi, a volte per nottate intere.
La sua cultura nasce dall'afro, un fenomeno musicale fine 70's, dove il dj aveva la caratteristica unica, e mai più ripetuta, di creare nel set un vero e proprio monologo mixato, dove la selezione era di assoluta scelta personale, senza seguire hit o altro.
Dominavano fantasia e creatività , nel suo dj set proponeva ritmi africani, funky, elettronica, brasil, con groove molto lenti ma accattivanti, parliamo di 80-90 bpm...
Negli anni Dario segue i filoni musicali non commerciali e l' evoluzione della sua anima, dall'afro al funky, di seguito il periodo discofunky, fonte d' ispirazione per molti anni di produzioni house, sposando gli anni dell' acid jazz e arrivando ai suoni odierni.
Dario Piana non è solo un dj, è un grandissimo amante del periodo space art-space age, adora il design 70, tra questi Verner Panton e Eero Aarnio, dei quali possiede vari originali.
Ama il blu , specialmente nelle forti tonalità .
Ama Brigitte Bardot, secondo lui la donna più bella e sensuale mai esistita.
Adora Stanley Kubrick, di cui conosce ogni attimo dei suoi film ( 2001 A Space Odissey in primis).
