I was born in Rome. I am a trumpet player and a composer. I am co-founder – together with Gabriele Coen, Pasquale Laino, Riccardo Manzi, Leonardo Cesari and Marco Camboni – of Klezroym music band. With Klezroym I made 5 albums for the CNI label: Klezroym (1998), Scenì (2000), Yankele in the ghetto (2002), Klezroym (2003, compilation), Twenty Fifth of April, live in Fossoli (2006). Klezroym write and perform original tunes inspired by the music of the European and North African Jewish diaspora, as well as original arrangements of traditional tunes.
I am trumpet player and co-arranger in Clara Graziano’s “Circo Diatonico†group. Since 1998 the group offers throughout Italy an original repertoire inspired by Italian traditional music, Gipsy music and music from the Balkans. With Circo Diatonico I recorded “La banda†album in 2006 (Finisterre label). In 1998 I also worked in the production of the “Acrobazie†album (Finisterre label).
I play trumpet for songwriter Luca de Nuzzo who sings songs in the original San Severo dialect (Foggia, Apulia) though in a completely modern musical context and not limited by style.
I also worked with Luca Faggella on the writing, producing and performing of the music played in his show "Luca Faggella & bus ticket": a project which aims at joining theatre, folk music and songwriters’ music. In 2002 we produced the album "Tredici Canti - Luca Faggella & bus ticket", (Storie di Note) which in 2003 won the Tenco Prize.
I was artistic director for Paolo Pandolfo’s album "Travel Notes†(Glossa Music, Spain, 2003) and performed in his ensuing production “Travel Notes Project†together with singer Laura Polimeno.
This project features original music by Paolo and myself performed by a viola da gamba, trumpet and voice trio.

Cinema, Theatre and Television productions:
- In 2007 I was co-author and arranger for Abel Ferrara’s “Go Go Tales†film. The film was shown not in competition at 2007 Cannes Film Festival 60th edition.
In 2006 I composed and performed the soundtrack of Penan, a documentary film by Alessandro Sermoneta produced by Rai Tre (the Italian Broadcasting Corporation’s Third Channel).
Together with Gabriele Coen, I composed and performed, the music for the theatre show “La casa d’argilla†(The Mud House) by Lisa Natoli, a show produced and performed all over Italy by Teatro Due of Parma.
I was trumpet soloist in the show “la sagra del signore della nave†by Pirandello; the show toured Italy - with Vincenzo Pirrotta as director and Ramberto Ciammarughi as composer– for Rome’s Theatre. The music from this show won the ETI Olympic Prize 2006.
In 2005 In composed and performed for C.A.M. record company the music for the documentary film "In un altro paese†(In another country) by Marco Turco, produced by Rai Tre, France 2, BBC, SVT (Swedish Public Broadcaster), ORF (Austrian Public Broadcaster) and YLE (Finnish Public Broadcaster). The film is a reconstruction of the fight against Mafia organised crime, from the creation of the antimafia magistrates’ team of judges Falcone and Borsellino up to our days.

I composed with Gabriele Coen the live music (also with Lutte Berg, Ada Montellanico and Lisa Natoli) for theatre and music show “L’alfiere†by Lisa Natoli, after R.M.Rilke’s text by the same name. The show was produced as part of Roccella Jonica Jazz Festival.
In 2004 I composed and performed music from the theatre show "Three sisters" by Lisa Natoli (after Cechov). The show was staged during the 2004/2005 season, in several Italian theatres (in Roma it was steged at Vascello and Furio Camillo theatres).
In 2002 I composed and performed the introductory music for the TV program "Dove osano le quaglie" (Where the quails dare) by Marco Presta and Antonello Dose, for Rai Tre. The music is soundtrack to an introductory short film of the noir-satyrical genre.
I composed and performed the music for "Asekon’s Journey", a film by Alessandro Sermoneta produced by AMREF Italia and Kenya.
In 1998, two tracks written by me and performed by the Klezroym band, were chosen by filmmaker Emanuele Crialese for the soundtrack of his first feature film "Once we were strangers ", which won a prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
I also work as trumpeter for the making of cinematic soundtracks together with Pivio and Aldo De Scalzi ("L’odore della notte", "Le faremo tanto male", "La seconda moglie", "Ormai è fatta", "Nella terra di nessuno", etc.), and with Paolo Buonvino; For theatre, television and advertising productions I work with Alessandro Forti, Francesco De Luca and Federico Landini.
