Luca Venitucci è attivo dalla fine degli anni ’80 come musicista (pianoforte, fisarmonica, dispositivi elettroacustici), cantante, improvvisatore e compositore/arrangiatore. La sua attività rifugge da ogni distinzione convenzionale di etichette e di generi e abbraccia direzioni molteplici quali la composizione e l'esecuzione di musiche strumentali, elettroacustiche e canzoni, l’improvvisazione in solo e insieme ad altri, l’interazione performativa tra suono, elementi visuali, azione scenica e parola e la collaborazione con artisti di diverse discipline (danza, teatro, poesia).
Since the end of the 80’s Luca Venitucci has been working as a musician (piano, accordion and electronic devices), improvisor, singer, composer and arranger. His activity ranges beyond any possible boundary of genres and styles, from composition and performance of instrumental and electroacoustic music and songs to solo and ensemble improvisation and mixed media. His interests in different art forms led him to collaborated repeatedly with dancers, actors, directors, poets and visual artists, and to research on his own on the interaction between sound, visuals, performative action and words. He has shared projects and collaborations, performed and often recorded with a wide range of musicians including Peter Kowald, Otomo Yoshihide, Sachiko M, Dagmar Krause, Gianni Gebbia, Thomas Lehn, Michael Renkel, Axel Dorner, Tim Hodgkinson, John Butcher, Jerome Noetinger, Cristoph K Roll, Dirk Bruinsma, Viljam Nybacka, Ab Baars, Mario Schiano, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Alessandro Bosetti, Jack Wright, Paolo Angeli, Annette Krebs, Will Guthrie, Gene Coleman and many more artists, including actress and director Federica Santoro, writers Jonathan Coe and Lidia Riviello and dancers such as Alessandra Cristiani, Samantha Marenzi and Maddalena Gana and the Travirovesce dance company. He also took part to projects by composers, musicians and sound artists including John Zorn, Alvin Curran, Christian Marclay, Margareth Kammerer, Mike Cooper, Boris Kovac, Jon Rose, Butch Morris, Francisco Lopez, Elliott Sharp, John Duncan, Keith Rowe, Merzbow/Masami Akita, Mario Bertoncini, Phill Niblock, Radu Malfatti, Terre Thaemelitz and Zbigniew Karkowski. Some of his original compositions were included in works by dancer and choreographer Annapaola Bacalov and in documentary movies by the italian collective Citrullo International.
