Pigeon Hole Fugitive !

About Me

I consider myself a constant work in progress. I've partisipated in many forms of art from painting and drawing to Music, Acting and Writing. Playing the Bass and singing will always be my first loves. Weather it's rocking hard has a singing Bassist in Agents of Karma (www.agentsofkarma.com) or exploring world and eclectic musical styles in "Where's My Angel?" (www.myspace.com/wheresmy), working as a side man in Vera Beren's Gothic Chamber Blues Ensemble (www.myspace.com/veraberen) or laying down super fat bass grooves for "Work of Art Reggae" (http://www.myspace.com/woareggae) you will always find me seeking new avenue's for my restless creativity.I'm a beach bum in the summer if I can swing it, I'll always find my way to water. You can find me taking day trips to Riis Park in Brooklyn, or stops on the Jersey Shore as well as the not nearly often enough day hike through Bear Mountain Park. I'm fond of a mix of City + Country.I'm a Van Man when it comes to cars, but give me a sporty roadster like my 1996 BMW 318 ti and I'm gone. I love movement and travel, I'm not the kind a guy you'll find proping up a Bar, or plopped in front of a T.V. with a clicker. I'm always game for road trips, I am after all an experienced New York road warrior.I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2005, where I studied to become a Holistic Health Counselor. Quality food for optimal life force are passions of mine. I like to cook because I like to eat, and eat the best foods possible. Nature gifted me with a body that never puts on weight, but thats not an excuse to eat junk.I love creative collaborations, and I'm always open to new music or working with artists of different stripes. I'd say I'm politically proactive and never miss a chance to contribute to political candidates I think worthy of my hard earned money. The future is always being written and my vision is a positive one and I'm prepared to kick a little butt to realize it. Cheers Jayster :)

I'd like to meet:

I like meeting interesting and creative people. I'm straight, sensitive, like a good boxing match, guy flick, fast cars, gourmet cooking, gardening and animals. I value personal freedom and independence a great deal, and I seek out proactive people who want to make things happen and change the world for the better. That doesn't always have to be in some dynamic way, but some times simply in the way you lead your daily life. There's no particular famous person I'd like to meet, someone dynamic and unknown is just as cool as the most famous person in Hollywood. Hey Donald Trump and Paris Hilton have to use a toilet just like the rest of us. Just be real, don't bull shit me and for heaven sake don't treat the idea of loyalty like it was a sound bite and we'll get on just fine! ;)P.S. I welcome your heart felt and insightful comments, but I have to say I'm not a bill board + don't like posting adds. If you have an actual comment, please say something more than "Thanks for adding us/me". Of course if you send a "Thanks for adding us/me", I'll assume you didn't bother to read this far and would think you really don't want to know me. Cheers J :)

Music:

So much to include, I love Classic late 60's early 70's rock, like Cream, Hendrix, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Cactus, Mountain, Ten Years After, Santana, Blue Oyster Cult and many more. But I'm a huge fan of early to mid 70's art and progressive rock, like Yes, Genesis, Flash, ELP, Strawbs, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Greenslade and so on. Then there's the Glitter Glam thing, like Early Bowie (All Bowie for that matter) T.Rex, Alice Cooper, Roxey Music, Brian ENO, BeBop Delux etc etc. But I loved the late 70's / 80's punk and new wave thing, and really dug bands like the Clash, Blondie, Cure, DEVO, Magazine, Police, Souxie and the Banshee's, Peter Murphy, Sex Pistols,Japan, Bill Nelson, Talking Heads, Oingo Boingo, The Stranglers and the like. But then there's this whole World Music thing and a particular interest in Celtic rock and crossover bands. Oh yeah and I love Brazilian music, Gilberto Gil is the bomb. The list is huge, I couldn't possibly write every thing I like here, it would fill a book I think. As a Bass Player I'm influenced by people like Jack Bruce, Felix Pappalardi, John Paul Jones, Chris Squire, Tony Levin, Stanely Clark, Sting, John Entwhistle, John Wetton, Jamaalden Tacuma, Alfonso Johnson Geddy Lee and many more.As a Vocalist, I love Jack Bruce, Brian Ferry, Jim Morrison, Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Peter Murphy, Jon Anderson, Seal, The Temptations, Sting, James Brown, John Wetton, Tom Jones, Matt Johnson, David Sylvian, Greg Lake, Julian Cope and many others.

Movies:

How do you list an endless list. A few stand outs : Vertigo (One of the most romantic mystery films ever) 55 Days in Peking (A haunting sound track and a little know period of history) The Fisher King, Gandhi, The Thin Red Line, The New World, Night of the Hunter, Any thing by John Cassavettes, The City of Lost Children, Bowling for Collumbine, the list is endless. :)

Television:

I used to be passionately devoted to "LOST" but they "Lost" me with all the down time and repeats. Basically I'm way too busy having a life to sit and watch other people having a life. But if I'm home and the tube is on, I get a big kick out of Boston Legal, Shantner and Spade deliver. I will admit I'm a bit of a sucker for home Make-over shows and the Food Network Rules. And I must state clearly that I hate, hate, hate "Reality shows"!!! The only true reality show was Candid Camera and that was like 30 years ago.

Heroes:

My Dad, R.I.P. He taught me what support is all about. Although it didn't sink in for many years. He was totally there for me when I was going through my teenage rebellion. He got me through some very tough times and then died of Cancer shortly after I graduated High School. I still miss him after all these years. His love and support has lived on in spite of his early death. My first Voice coach Ron Panvinni, is a hero of mine, he was a tremendous influence on me both as an artist and a person. A good teacher works on many levels and Ron is that type of teacher.People like Buckminster Fuller, Nicola Tesla + Tucker, the car maker are hero's to me, in that they all tried to give the world some thing useful and fought the powers of mediocrity and greed some times to their own down fall to get their idea's out.My Mom, is a hero of mine, because in spite of our difference's, she has always been supportive of my artistic side and never pressured me to become some thing I didn't want to be. She's out lived my dad by 30 years and is still going like an energizer bunny. She's responsible for my interest in Holistic Health.
