About Me

Alicia Sometimes has worked as a bookies bag lady, played bass in a hula hoop grunge band and has always loved words with music. She is a spoken word performer, musician and astronomy lover. She is currently in a surf band called The Three Sixties.She has had work commissioned for State Library of Victoria, Victoria Museum, Art Gallery of Victoria, Writers' Radio and the Red Room Project. Her work has been on radio and TV many times and Alicia is currently a presenter on Melbourne's 3RRR radio show Aural Text dedicated to playing spoken word and music.She was the co-editor of the Australian literary journal (with CD) going down swinging . Her first book, kissing the curve was published in 2003 by Five Islands Press.
