Performance Poetry for Children with Kate McGann and HelÃªn Thomas.Meet poets Gabby Mouth and Penelope Page, two larger than life characters who have very different ideas about poetry.Join them for an hour of quality speaking, listening and participation as they bring their unique brand of interactive performance and poetry into school.Using poems and songs; riddles and rhymes; wordplay and mayhem, along with lots of discussion, disagreement and audience participation, they ask the all important questions: What is a poet? What does a poet do? What do poets look like?Gabby Mouth and Penelope Page prove that poetry can be fun and accessible, and worthy of debate.Suitable for a school hall or similar venue, each one hour performance takes the form of a short play incorporating poetry aimed at groups aged 5 - 7 or 7 - 11. I'd like to meet:

Poets and educators. Anyone wishing to learn about performance poetry that challenges people's prejudices about poets and poetry. Creative, imaginative, enthusiastic people who want to use poetry as a tool for literacy. Our shows and workshops are aimed at nursery age, KS1 and KS2.

Music:

We love music, songs and rhymes!

Movies:

We look a bit fat on our DVD.
