Oh stewardess, I speak jive.

About Me

Just figured MySpace would be a good place to jam all my sources into one central spot, so when people say "Oh, neat, you're a film critic... Where can I read your stuff?" I can throw this link at 'em instead of telling the internet-retarded fool a bunch of stand-alone websites while they stare at me, nodding blankly.
I'm a professional movie nerd who writes for a bunch of cool websites. That's pretty much it.
Here's me at:
--eFilmCritic (reviews)
--Cinematical (reviews, news & bloggings)
--FEARnet.com
--Adventures in Moviewatching (personal blog -- on hiatus!)
--DVD Talk (reviews)
--Rotten Tomatoes (reviews)
--Rotten Tomatoes (news)
--JoBlo's Movie Emporium (dvd reviews)
--LiveJournal (miscellania)
--Hollywood Bitchslap (same as EFC)
--And here's a photo album of my recent travels.
I'm also the Managing Editor of eFilmCritic & HollywoodBitchslap, so if any of you indie filmmakers out there are looking for a review, just let me know. One of our critics will gladly take a look, but all I can promise is a fair and honest response. So don't expect any special favors just because your MySpace page has a hot chick on it. ;) Same thing goes for movie news/festival coverage; you got something interesting? Drop me a line and I might be able to help.
Also, if you're attending a film festival (Sundance, SXSW, Toronto) and you see a tall Jewish guy wearing an Eagles hat, that's probably me. Say hi. (Philadelphia Eagles, not Glenn Frey Eagles.)
Things I really love include: movies of any kind but especially horror flicks, Jennifer Connelly, Philly Cheese Steaks, video games, superheroes, brunettes with blue eyes, the old-school Steve Martin, Camel Lights, Deadwood, Jennifer Connelly, and playing poker with stupid people.

My Interests

Anything even remotely connected to the phrase "motion picture."

Music:

Beastie Boys, Zeppelin, Nails. The classics, basically.

Movies:

Too many to list, obviously, but my standard top five would be Alien, Young Frankenstein, Raiders, Jaws, and (yes) LOTR. Oh, and Laura. (And Airplane!) And the original Star Wars. And Halloween & The Thing. (And Miller's Crossing.) How much text will this box allow, anyway?

Television:

Kind of a snob when it comes to TV, but I do love my Scrubs, Arrested Development, and The Office. And don't come anywhere near my Futurama DVDs.

Books:

Mostly horror-type stuff: King, Barker, Lumley, Matheson, Ketchum, etc.

Heroes:

Ellen Ripley, Ted Striker, Eric Stratton, Rick Deckard, Sam Lowry, Carl Spackler, John Murdoch, Snake Plissken, Ashley J. Williams, Marge Gunderson, Malcolm Reynolds, Seth Brundle, Peter Venkman, Han Solo, Martin Brody, Boromir of Gondor, Roy Hobbs, RP McMurphy, RJ MacReady, Inigo Montoya, H.I. McDunnough, William Somerset, Zap Brannigan, and Christopher Walken
