The best way you can make a difference in preventing animal cruelty is to reduce and eliminate the animals on your plate. The less animals you eat, the fewer that will be killed and the fewer that will live a life of misery. With the ready availability of products in stores and restaurants that cater to veg dining, it's easier than ever before! For a comprehensive resource to compassionate shopping and eating in the Seattle area, go to our guide to Veg Seattle .
Another project of NARN is UW Kills Animals
to inform and educate the public about the abuses and cruelty done by the University of Washington to animals in their laboratories. Over 16,000 animals are kept captive in secluded locations, with over 3000 of them being primates. Help us hold UW accountable!
The Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle is ranked as the second-worst facility for captive elephants. WPZ places profits above the health and lives of the elephants held there, sometimes with tragic and fatal results. We have been working to get them released to a sanctuary. Visit our site
Friends of Woodland Park Zoo Elephants
for more information and ways you can help.
We also sponsor the Compassionate Consumer Circle , a comprehensive resource of animal-related services, such as pet-sitters, no-kill shelters, sanctuaries, clinics, businesses and retail shops, throughout the Puget Sound region. C3 also publishes the Animal Services Guide, a convenient directory that is available in most animal-friendly establishments.

YOU!
For those in the Seattle area, please check out our calendar for upcoming events--we would love to have you involved! Every action you can take to help animals, no matter how big or small, is never an action in vain.
Everything we do is dependent on volunteer support, whether by participation or by donations. We are an all-volunteer-run organization, so 100% of the money donated to us will go directly to our advocacy efforts. We are always in need of donations, so we appreciate anything you can give to us to help out the animals. We now accept PayPal, so donating is easier than ever. Hit "Donate" for a one-time donation of whatever amount you wish, or "Subscribe" to make a monthly donation of either $10 or $25.
$10/mo. donation
$25/mo. donation
NARN has no paid staff, so we depend on the good deeds of volunteers willing to give up some of their time to help us out. If you'd like to volunteer your time, please send us a message and we can give you information on what we're involved in currently and what we would love to have your help for. On behalf of the animals, we thank you for your support!

"The beef industry has contributed to more American deaths than all the wars of this century, all natural disasters, and all automobile accidents combined. "Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet" - Albert Einstein
