MAXIMUS:
Here is the story of Maximus.He was a 2 year old pitt bull mix dog who was brutally murdered by his owner. Maximus was chained to a tree, Tortured, and then had gasoline poured on him.He was set on fire and left to die.Maximus wasn't just killed,He suffered extensively.Up to 60% of his body was burned. He got injections,blood transfusions,and he underwent numerous surgeries.This dog even after being tortured by a human being ,still was trusting enough to lick the hands of the vets helping him.Even after much work was done,it was getting harder and harder to save him.He was put into a drug induced coma and later died from his wounds.

This is Mercy's Story:
On April 14, 2006 a 10-month-old Pit Bull mix was found. It was found after being doused with gasoline and set on fire. She was brought to Operation Kindness where she was cared for. Unfortunately less than 10 days later she lost her battle.She also was killed by her owner.

STEVE IRWIN, has died during underwater filming aged 44 after a stingray barb pierced his heart, was known through his documentaries on the cable TV channel Animal Planet to some 500 million people in more than 120 countries. As the exuberant, golden-haired, khaki-wearing and apparently fearless Crocodile Hunter, he got very close to — and even wrestled — numerous apex predators. His unscripted narration was punctuated with “Crikey!†and “ Look at this beauty!†Many called him a thrill seeker, but he called himself a wildlife warrior. He was in fact a highly knowledgeable natural historian, whose mission was to educate people by enthusing them. “If you can’t get wilds into people’s heartsâ€, he said, “then we haven’t got a hope in heck of saving them — because people don’t want to save something they don’t know.†R.I.P.Steve
Dian Fossey:
Dian Fossey (January 16, 1932 – December 26, 1985) was an American ethologist interested in gorillas. She completed an extended study of several gorilla groups, observing them daily for years in the mountain forests of Rwanda.
Dian Fossey was murdered by an unknown attacker in her cabin at the Karisoke Research Center in the Virunga Mountains in 1985. The attacker hacked her to death by what investigators believe to be a machete. They entered through a hole in the wall prior to the attack. No arrests have ever been made, but local authorities believe it to be poachers who were at odds with Dian and her anti-poaching brigade of but a few soldiers.R.I.P.Dian.
