We want everypawdy to know from da beginning: we post A LOT of bulletins! Not 1, not 2, but paaaaaages of bulletins! Momma feels it necessary that bulletins about animals in need are being posted, so... if you don't like getting lots of bulletins like that, please please please don't add us... We kinda get attached to our furriendz, and it's always hard to see someone leave 'cause of this. Momma does her furry best to delete bulletins that are 2 days old, and she also deletes da ones that aren't necessary anymore (which means that a particular animal has been either adopted or put to sleep)... We certainly hope you wanna be our furriend(z), 'cause we just luuuuuuuuuuuuv' furriendz!! Mwah mwah!! MOL!
Momma's info: Well... here goes: I'm a SUPER cat lover, a HUGE animal friend and a supporter of many organisations that are devoted to helping animals in need.
I share my life with 4 cockatiels, 3 super goooorgeous dogs and 18 most lovable cats. Never a dull moment, I can tell you that!!
Figaro - Exotic
Raphael - Persian
Simba - Scottish Fold
Neo - adopted from a litter our neighbours had
Dahli - Scottish Fold
Bodhi - Scottish Straight (adopted because the person who wanted him originally, bailed out at the last minute)
Gizmo - Persian
Kayleigh - adopted from a local shelter
Bailey - a stray we took in when he was incredibly ill, and he stayed...
Kaia & Maylea - brother and sister we adopted
Tiger Lily & Skye - brother & sister Sacred Birmans (sadly enough, Skye died at the age of 6months, due to a liver malfuntion he was born with)
Lainey - our vet found her in his parents' backyard, so we adopted her
Constantine - Siamese
Biloxi - adopted from a kitty shelter (has been diagnosed with FIV)
Moonray - adopted (last one of the litter, no one wanted him)
Callisto - adopted (also last one of the litter)
Avalon - adopted (last one of the litter... again...)
Snoopy - Beagle
Beauregard (a.k.a. Beau) - Poodle
Moccha - Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Precious Biloxi has been diagnosed with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). It's a bit of a risk with 17 other cats running around, but luckely Biloxi is a bit of a loner, he likes to keep to himself, and when I feed him, I take him into another room, so the other cats can't touch his food or milk. He has mouth problems, so I have to blend his food, but I keep him going with homeopathy, and it works for the time being... A lot of people tell me that it's better to let him put to sleep and take another cat, but that certainly doesn't work for me. As long as he's well, and not in any pain, I see no reason what so ever to end his life. Only ignorant people can say something as cold as that...
Gizmo's bit of a special case as well. He's been in a car accident and now he has to paddle through life with just one eye. But he learned to manage really well...
Neo..., well, to be honest, he's completely insane. A couple of years ago, he had some kind of a stroke (the vets couldn't find out what was wrong with him...) and now he's - apart from being deaf - a bit of a mental case. BUT absolutely very lovable, and a big hugger!
At the moment I'm following a course that teaches the basics in homeopathy for animals, and I passed my exam in 'Basic canine and feline medicine". When I finish this course, I'll be applying for the specialised homeopathy course... Let's hope I pass those exams as well!!
Check out the slideshow I put together of all my kitties and doggies at the bottom of this page!!!
