About Me

Vegan Radio is a show about vegan culture. We feature interviews, news, music and more. The show co-hosts are Derek Goodwin , Megan Shackelford , and Scott Lahteine. Megan owns a vegan bakery called Oh Sweet Mama's so she is very sweet with an infectious laugh and pleasant radio voice. Derek constantly misbehaves and makes jokes and adds weird sound effects to the show. Their entertaining conversations help to make the serious subject matter more easy to digest, specially for the omnivorous audience Vegan Radio is trying to reach. Vegan Radio is located in Northampton, MA and broadcasts on a local community run FM station called Valley Free Radio (WXOJ-LP 103.3FM). We also podcast and all of our shows are available through podcasting services such as the iTunes Music Store or our web site .

MUSICIANS! If you are a vegan band or a vegan member of a band or a vegan solo artist and want to be featured on our show, please sign up for a membership on Veganica - our website for veg artists, musicians and bloggers. You can sign up for the 60 day free trial or the "link exchange" membership and upload one of the songs you would like us to play.

We are looking for people to contribute to the show, specially people who do their own audio recording. We would love contributions of spoken essays, music about veganism or animal rights, or surreal artistic pieces that deal with the issues.
