This space is devoted to the famous burlesque-inspired dance fitness classes in Australia! We occasionally hold nightclub events that we affectionately call La Lola Salon!

International showgirl Lola The Vamp, www.lolathevamp.net, has devised a school to teach classic retro burlesque-inspired dance! Classes cover the common movements of American Burlesque from the 20s to the 60s. We offer several courses in this delicate art, all based in classic burly-q and researched intensely in the USA, UK, Paris and Australia.
La Lola Salon offers a range of courses. Each course comprises 6 weeks of training followed by optional graduation opportunities just in case you want to show off your shimmy to the world! All levels of training and experience are welcome.
WHO'S BEHIND THE CLASSES? Lola The Vamp is a world-renowned performer, with a string of stellar reviews behind her from several continents. She is also in the final stages of completing her PhD in her own showgirl performance. Many years of practical research have gone into the classes we offer you today! Fun, fitness, and even a stepping stone to performance, if that is what you dream! Lola has devised a luscious curriculum and hand-picked only the sweetest and most talented teachers. COURSES WE OFFER:
INGENUE $250
This is the course to start your journey with. You'll learn the foundational moves of retro burlesque-inspired dance - notorious Bump, the grandeous Grind, every shimmy known to human and twirling those tassles like there's no tomorrow. You'll put all this together in a group choreography. BOOK NOW
INTERMEZZO 1: $250
Graduates of Ingenue progress to this course. You learn how to layer movements and make a scene! You'll learn a choreography using these layered movements. BOOK NOW
INTERMEZZO 2: $250
Completed Intermezzo 1? Next, learn how to strip like a superstar, ways of getting out of a corset, pulling a stocking and take off a glove like a glamazon. It's all done in mime, so there is never any pressure to get yer gear off love. You'll progressively learn a choreography using all these techniques based on the classic Golden Age burlesque structure. This course is about the stripping component of the burlesque form. BOOK NOW

Your individuality is important to us! We aim to bring out your take on burlesque, through a series of structured sequences. We don't teach Lola's style, that's hers, instead we use the knowledge she has accumulated through years of research to bring you a sample of this amazing performance form.
