WHAT WE DO
MONSTER ZOKU ONSOMB! (MZO) combine eclectic sampling with fat synths to create a hybrid sound all their own. Sampling anything from 50's ROCKABILLY, EXOTICA to RAGGA and NOISE... MZO explode on any stage!
From punk gigs to drum n bass...
Lounge shows to breakcore...
Electro to experimental...
And from ragga to
rockabilly...
...MZO destroys them all...
...Someone said MZO sounded like:
"Techno Jungle Sixties Hardcore Punk from Outa Space! "
Someone else said:
"Mental ragga rave n bass with zigzag bass lines and the kind of free spirited abandon guaranteed to ram a dance floor in 10 seconds flat! "
GIGS
In 2005 and 2006 MZO Toured Europe & Japan, performing in Tokyo, Osaka, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, London, Bristol, Brighton, Moscow, St Petersburg, Rennes, Lyon, Liege, Ghent, Madrid, Barcelona, & Arnoldstien & Graz in Austria,
Leaving a bloody trail of stunned expressions and perforated ear drums as they went, they were thrilled to play alongside electronic luminaries such as Hellfish, Panacea, Chrome & Time, Luke Vibert, Rotator, Donna Summer (Jason Forrest), Doormouse, Tim Exile, Ed DMX, Enduser, Aaron Spectre, Justice, Uffie, Otto Von Shirach, Sickboy, Electromecha, Shitmat, Ebola, Luke's Anger, Virus Syndicate, Patric Catani & many others.
In Australia MZO have played The Big Day Out - Australia's largest national touring Festival, as well as supporting The HACKER, Sickboy & Droon, Vex'd, SNOG TISM, Peaches, Black Lung, Krust'n'Die, MU, Tipper and Vanilla Ice...!.
The group have built up a cult following with their all singing, all
dancing, all screaming stage shows, and in 2007 they put their hometown Brisbane through the ringer and started their regular MONSTER MASH club events.
RELEASES
In 2005 MZO's debut self titled EP sold out 2 pressings. Their debut Death$ucker 12" also sold out with it being played on BBC 1's Breezeblock show and being pronounced Mary Anne Hobbs favorite record of the week.
ATTACK! was released in 2006 featuring the twisted artwork of Ben Constantine and included the award winning video clip for Valentine's by film maker Adam Roboczi.
Death$ucker released another 12" to coincide with their European tour of that year.
In 2008 a new album is to be released to coincide with their 3rd Japan/Russia/Europe tour. New tracks have already make their way onto the SNOG CD-EP "CITY" and tunes are released on UK label RANDOM AUDIO.
