Welcome to my sanctuary...of house. I play almost exclusively new music . I bounce between electro, tribal, tech and Progressive and I don't follow any particular rules yet I seem to have developed a style and format that embodies the Club Tales Series. Generally my mixes are layered builds, always bumpin strong by the end of the session. I regularly lean into what I explore/define as desert music-this is a [VERY] big sound-and I pursue it the hard way. I don't play hits, I search for obscure mixes, many less than weeks old and am not tracking anyone's top 10 lists and I love to rip old classics. As a result, there's this blend of risk and richness that emerges.

The desire not to compromise involves the deliberate decision to pursue the "hard way", to constantly educate and cajole and sometimes bluster and bluff the others in this Deejay game. The prize is fresh, daring, unexpected and sometimes truly amazing. Sometimes...not so amazing and you always seem to tell me. Please pass on my mixes. And tell your friends. My goal is to turn 2000 downloads a month into 10,000.

I'm available to play....
I'm always mixin'.

Many of you know I run Rootsociety(.org) at Burning Man-and I'm hoping you will all come party with me this Labor day in the desert. Some of you have discovered I'm a .com guy in my day job-seems to support my love of music.

I have been a long time vinyl(black crack)club DJ. I broke my 1200's in on Parliment and George Clinton and Sugar Hill Gang.
I love early 80's funk.
Yet Soft Cell ,Grace Jones, Bob Marley, early U2 and The Clash were never far away.

Balanced against the undiscovered and the unfamiliar we can not forget those classic anthems that we've passed along the way.

As a kid I was all Zeppelin, The Stones, Pink floyd, Hendrix and I played a Fender Mustang electric guitar from when I was 8-18. Competing for time on my stereo was Boston, The Cars, Supertramp, Seger, and even Kiss. But In the end, disco crossed me over and funk defined my style.

I have always been a club dj-big clubs(1000-2000). As a resident dj, I played 5 nights from 9-2am. Not 1/2 hours like todays style. So I live for long sets. The 80's and 90's were my dance floor. I think I own every 12" from 1976-mid 90's.

My day job always got in the way of taking my music to a bigger stage. But I never stopped djing.

Today, I'm a digital/web music hunter. No more vinl-cant belive I just said that. I practice and source music 10 hours a week. My weekly mix is done in Ableton Live working with my engineer Jason.
I love to guest DJ and have been in and out of long residency's. I love underground parties. And I love festivals. I go to IBIZA every summer. And define my sound in the desert sands of Burning Man.

I host/present a weekly radio show "Club Tales" on Sirius/Area 33 sunday nights and its rerun at various times during the week
