Native from Nantes, in France, he was grown up listening to the 45 rpm's of his sisters: Supertramp, Police, Earth Wind and Fire or Kool & the Gang were spinning on his childhood portable tuntable.
At ten, he had a revelation by discovering a new format : the 12" (maxi 45 rpm). Why a 45rpm on a 12" instead of a 7" ? He finds the answer by being interesting in and by the begining to buy his own vinyls. The passion takes him ; he reveived his first Technics turntables at 14. He spends all his free time listening to his records and training to mix. Two years later, he made his first steps at the radio... The art director of a club from his region heard from him and asked him to substitute his DJ : he will stay there two years.
At 18, Philippe comes in Paris and discovers "parisian nights" with "Le Palace" and the "Boy". Coming back to Nantes, he begins to find his own style : the house music never leaved hom again. He mixes at the "News", new club dedicated to electro musics. But he often comes back in Paris to check all the new trendy sounds. All the greatest Dj's from the french touch used to play with him at the "News". He naturally began to come more and more often in Paris for mixing.
He leaves the "News" of Nantes in 1998 to settle back definitively in Paris because from 1996 he is the official resident Dj of the "Queen". Philippe starts being famous in Paris while playing at the "Bains Douches" in 1999 then in "l'Enfer" (a club renamed the "Red Light" in 2000)lined up with Wake up (Scream et House of Legend). He also mixed at "Folie's Pigalle", "Gibus", "la Loco"... His numerous residences allow him to make many meetings and to play for some big foreign clubs like the "Pacha" in Ibiza, Lebannon, Morocco, Thailand, Switzerland, Belgium... as well as in private parties for Johnny Hallyday, Christophe Dechavanne, Guillaume Durand, Vivienn Westwood...
2002, he releases many house singles like "I Want You" and "You & Me Together", on the Pool E Music label which were all playlisted by lots of international DJs and on specialized radios in France and foreign countries. In 2003, he was named art director for a big new club in Paris, "l'Amnésia Paris" where he's also resident. There, he shared his passion for the music with some of the greatest house music Dj's (Robbie Rivera, Erick Morillo, Deep Dish, Junior Jack...). He knows how to expand himself in the music doing stuff like big tours, mixing in the clubs and making his own music in the studios.
Always creating, Philippe B. is dropping two new bombs this year : "Step2gether" and "Can You Feel It" on Vector Records and Paintball Records (Pool E Music). Already played by Carl Cox, Roger Sanchez and Pete Tong, those titles hit the dance floors of Europe, Japan, United States, Australia...
