Aaron Simpson is a force to be reckoned with in the world of Drum and Bass. Since 1999, Simpson has been honing his craft and preparing himself for the bright future he is destined to have. With numerous mixed CDs under his belt, and recent production work receiving massive support, Aaron's journey is just beginning.
Heavily influenced by Andy C, Friction, & Reid Speed among others, Simpson's understanding and love for the music shines through in his energetic performances. His unique selection of intelligent rhythms and liquid bass lines elevate traditional drum and bass to new heights and push the genre itself outside the box. Technical skills second to none, his signature sound is gaining popularity across the world.
Like many others, Aaron’s journey did not begin solely with dnb. In the late 1990s, he found inspiration amongst the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, & Armin where he began his trance roots. Inspiration evolved into boredom in 2002, when he made the nearly impossible switch to Drum and Bass.
After regaining momentum, Simpson found himself warming up dance floors across the west coast for everyone from Fresh to Ed Rush & Optical, and from Aphrodite to Dieselboy. Not to mention sharing bills with the likes of Andy C and Goldie among many other heavyweights. Headlining events all over the U.S. and Canada, has built Aaron a very extensive resume.
In 2006 Aaron hooked up with long-time friend Brian Abbey to co-produce "Never Far From Right". The tune received an overwhelmingly positive response, and the Subsonik remix was later picked up and released by Xposure Records UK. NFFR has been one of the most successful singles for Drum & Bass in 2007, and received 4 out of 5 stars by DJ Mag, making it an international success.
Keep an eye out for new produced tracks on the way, as Aaron blazes forth on the musical path he has spent nearly 10 years building.

Coming through on side one the duo known as Divine Elements (Concise and Ru) deliver a bassline crunching banger of a mix. Usually these boys are used to performing live drum n bass (sequencers, keyboards, processors, turntablism, vocalists), but they also show us that they can deliver a DJ set to boot. From the jump this mix is heavy on the tech-sound, but is very groovy at the same time running. The mixes are smooth transitions that keep the chain of music linked. Divine Elements comes through with a banging mix on this side (side note: If you can see them live, LIVE DRUM N BASS done with quality, precision and is one of the most unique experiences you will find in this music)!
Aaron Simpson takes us on a journey into a drum n bass sound and mix that touches the soul on many different levels. Dancefloor banging tracks but are very musical with rhythm is the best way to give you a glimpse of this mix in words. Very impressive track selection and mixing to make it stay fluid is an Aaron Simpson staple. The vocals on several tunes will have you rhyming along while the grooves will keep your head nodding. This mix is a beautiful blend of drum n bass that could be dropped at a massive or an intimate venue and still get the same reaction. One of the Pacific Northwest’s best DJs delivers on this mix!
