WHAT SOME KOOL KATS HAVE SAID ABOUT ETHNIC PANIC ATTACK:

ETHNIC PANIC ATTACKS- the triumph of OOZE by OMEN
I just wanna preface this by saying that I LOVE music. It's been the only constant throughout my life to never let me down. It is sacred to me. So therefore I am incapable of bullshitting about music. If I don't feel it, i know within seconds of listening (and if it doesn't have feeling, soul and balls I don't even wanna know about it!)
My musical tastes are extremely varied, almost boundless BUT nonetheless I AM picky about what I listen to and a bit jaded of a listener i admit - SO when I say something is good- LISTEN UP because I ain't easy to win over.
Ethnic Panic Attacks blasts open a new niche all it's own. No genre can hold it, no category can trap it. With this CD, OOZE shrugs off any pretense or ideas of what format should be. It's artsy, cathartic, trashy, sad, ecstatic, demonic, full of attitude, reeking of street, it's life, death, giving up and finding hope. E.T.A. is Omen's musical painting, novel, sculpture & symphony all rolled into one and pressed into c.d. form.
Every song drips with detail and so many varied influences that you can't wait to hear the next track... and the next... and the next...
It's like taking a musical and lyrical trip through Omen's world, heart, moods & mind- the good the bad and the ugly, he doesn't hold anything back. The beauty of E.T.A. lies in it's diversity. Such as driving beats and nasty demon-like vocals set over dark, ass-shaking music while the lyrics tell stories of true feelings and views, raw emotion, love, hate and a thriving belief in one's self. E.T.A. & OOZE by OMEN is definitely a lesson not trying to squeeze music into categories. This could be called techno, gothic, hardcore, artcore, metal, rawk punk industrial. But it's not one of these things...it's ALL of these things and SO much more. It's true, it's real and it's heartfelt. Heavy as hell one moment and beautifully ethereal the next. And like a pile of cherries & Vicodin on top of the cake - it makes your body MOVE, baby!!! Whether you're looking to lose yourself in some amazing artistic dream-state, rock the fuck out or just dance till dawn- YOU NEED TO OWN THIS C.D.!!!
This testimonial wouldn't be complete without mentioning the artwork so here we go! I have rarely seen any CD packaged with such detail and NEVER have I seen such a creation from an unsigned artist. I spent half an hour just looking at all the images and reading the offbeat prose and quotes inside the 4 paneled fold out. It's hard to even imagine how much work was put into this and pondering that thought really had an effect on me that I haven't felt since the days of vinyl. Owning this CD actually makes you feel special, appreciated and cherished because when you see the artwork and hear the music you KNOW that OOZE by OMEN put everything into this ...mentally, physically, emotionally- all the time and money spent - and they did it for you and me and everyone who buys this CD. OOZE by OMEN wants to give you nothing less than the best and with the creation of "Ethnic Panic Attacks" they deliver like a muthafucka!

I got the CD in the mail the other day and I love it! It is true to the descriptions summed up so well by Omen on the page but one must still experience it. The artwork, the packaging, the music, the vibe, just everything comes together and I like it a lot so I just wanted to let ya know! I posted a link on my blog to purchase and I hope to see you performed live soon in LA. Take Care Always. I keep hearing different things, elements, feelings with each play so that is cool, I like music that evolves so to speak. Not sure if that sums it up right but it is definitely a compliment on the CD!!!.

So, it's been a slimy sabbath day for ol' Seth. Sunday morning and I got the OOZE cd in the mail, and what a treat for my church-less ass, I finally got something worth worshiping. Great CD, Kick ass art inside and out. Even came with an Omen calling card, including email address, a poster of the band, a sexy tarot card, a Las Vegas adult entertainers magazine (special edition), and even a personally burned CDR with rare ooze videos, hand labeled with a sharpie! Now if that package did not smell like love, I don't know what does, dead fish?
Money very well spent, I must say, I haven't heard any industrial rock that I liked in a long long time, and this OOZE shit was tearing me new ears and butt-hole... that's a good thing! I half expected a sheet of acid and pills as I went through all the awesomity of this great package. So, with that said, there's a brief review of my first impression, now I will absorb this mind trapping CD with extensive testing. Thank you Omen! Take care bro.

The following CD review was written and submitted to Gothic Beauty Magazine. Unfortunately, the review was cut during final production due to print space limitations:
OOZE - Ethnic Panic Attacks
Hallucinations Horror Hysteria & Other Medications & Mediations for the New Millennium
Woa. I almost had a brain hemorrhage just opening this one. Past the plastic mailer, through the static bag, and over the psychedelic visual fall-out of the wacked-out CD case that would make even Thrill Kill Kult cringe - I finally fumbled the disc into my player. Not for the faint of heart, OOZE is x-BILE, Omen’s, freaked out “Satanic rave for the apocalypse†(yes Virgina, there is truth in advertising). Zombiefied samples, aggro industrial guitars, manic drumming, antagonistic sequencing... a flat out nuclear assault to the senses. Try “Jims Radioactive Beatbox†on for size, or the most bizarre rendition of ZZ Top’s “TV Dinner†ever to be experienced. (Sonya)

Just wanted to say thanks for sending me the two EP's, DVD and Lost Anarchy CD. Haven't had a chance to check out the DVD yet but I'm sure it's good! Once again I cannot stress enough about how much I love "Ethnic Panic Attacks" I listen to a ton of all types of music from many groups that I love and their are always CD's that you listen to that you skip certain tracks because they are just not up to par with the rest of the album but your shit is fucking hellacious and solid from beginning to end!
"ETHNIC PANIC ATTACKS" is an amazing arsenal of sound! It will blow your mind, kick you in the teeth, stop your heart, and make your dick hard, all at the same time! I have listened to nothing else lately, it has been on repeat ever since I got it! Fuck Yeah! Thanks again!

I first encountered the awesome and wicked Ooze one starry night this past summer, in the middle of the Nevada desert at the Burning Man festival. They were performing live at Root Society (a.k.a "The Dome") which is by far the largest and hottest rave clubs in Black Rock City. I only popped into the club for a minute or so to scope the dancefloor and soak in some of the smashing, pounding, relaxingly spastic sounds that were assaulting the crowd.
The magic toadstools that I ate for dinner were beginning to work their spell on me, so I just stood there relishing the music and the beautiful Burners in their Danse Macabre. I was quite awestruck when I saw that there was no DJ above the crowd, but rather three shadowy men with vines for hair and warpaint pulsing across their faces, one of them screeching (or was he whispering?) into a mic. The fact that the music I was hearing was a live band truly amazed me, and since my return from Burning Man, I spent many hours scouring the dusty corners of the web to find out exactly who they were.
Four months later, I have finally discovered Ooze, and their album, Ethnic Panic Attacks--a rare, beautiful, and nightmarish collection of noise from the underbelly of music history. The music soothes the restless soul and agitates peace of mind. Ooze's meticulous and seamless blend of rigid industrial noise, hypnotic trance beats, and metal discord is one of the most unique and innovative sounds I've heard for a while and will certainly appeal to anyone interested in any of these genres. As dark and heavy as Ooze may be, they need to be lifted into the light for everyone to see and hear!
