About Me

BIOGRAPHY
1978 : Laurent Schark was born in Marseille (France) and started to play the piano at 5. He got influenced by
all kind of Black music (Stevie Wonder, Kool & The Gang, Lionel Richie …).
1995 : first turntables and mix sets with Funk, Disco & Dance tunes.
1998 : He discovered House music and created his home studio. The same year, he met MidKnight with
whom he created The Groove Masters. Laurent quickly got the attention by performing in clubs and
through his first radio shows.
2005 : Miami's Winter Conference. The Groove Masters released 2 remixes : Say Say Say (Michaël
Jackson) and One night in Bangkok (Murray Head). They quickly made the buzz and plenty of new covers
get inspired of it (Hi-tack, Vinyl Shakerz etc.). Laurent Pautrat and Antoine Clamaran, seduced by the
project, released a new cover in France (“Waitin' for U”).
Laurent Schark has created the weekly electro show « Pâté Paradise » (every Saturday night from 10 p.m
to 00 a.m, Paris GMT) on the webradio Radio Pâté (www.radiopate.com). Less than one year later, that
program already was a huge hit among the Web addicts with more than 50, 000 listeners around the world
for every show.
2006 : Following his artistical path, Laurent Schark moved to London and also created Evolusound
records (http://www.evolusound.com) with his friend MidKnight. In April, he entered the French TOP 5 of
best remixers for the contest organized by Only for DJ's magazine. At the end of that year, he also
remixed So Magic (feat. Miss T) for Dexter Connection and the song got playlisted around the world
through radios and TVs. He also started working on his album MOVE ON.
2007 : single « Stop the music – Laurent Schark disco remix» (Pool E Music) for Carol Jiani & Laurent
Pautrat, « Malfunction » (LS Miami Sunset remix) for Andrea Carnell (Miswax records USA), « Someone
to blame feat Jodie Cooper », second collaboration with Laurent Pautrat (Pool E music). He spent a lot of
times in studio, preparing his 2008 hits !
2008 : no doubt it will be Laurent Schark's year with an album (MOVE ON) and 6 singles to come on digital
stores, CDs and Vinyls (MY DESTINATION, BOOST UP YOUR LIFE and MOVIN', the 3 singles from MOVE
ON, and also I WANT YOU TONIGHT, CHEMISTRY and TAKE YOUR TIME). Laurent Schark is also
working on various remixes (including the much expected NEVER KNEW LOVE feat. Carol Jiani of Frank
Savannah).
