Jodie Cooper started singing from a young age attending Operatic societies and taking part in many musicals like "Showboat", "Oliver" and "My fair Lady" just to mention a few.At 11 years old Jodie started private singing tutition with the very credible Stephanie Norman and to this day Jodie attends as often as possible when home for a short period.Attending Franklin College and performing at the weekends in competitons and gigging around the local area Jodie studied Music Technology, Peforming arts, Drama and English gaining passes in all subjects.
Fresh for leaving college Jodie boarded "The Pride Of Le Harve" P&O 5* ferry as the resident singer with backing band "Kontiki" were she performed three times a day to passengers for a period of 3 months.Shortly after that a stint at Butlins beckoned as Jodie accepted the part of Pop Babes" production playing the part of Britney Spears for a 7 month contract which was also featured on childrens program "Nickelodeon".
A stint abroad followed that were Jodie entertained 16 hotels as the head lining cabaret act for a period of almost a year in the resort of Salou, Costa Daurada.Whilst abroad Jodie also paid tribute to Kylie Minogue performing as her in a tribute show in the top bars "007's" and "Charlie Chaplins".Aftyer returning to the UK a day later Jodie joined the cast of "The Meatloaf Story" and "Vampires Rock" playing the lead female in both rock concerts which toured up on down the country for a whole year.Jodie was lucky enough to play in venues that were home to many famous stars that had once graced the stage.
Living on a tourbus and travelling up and down the country was a highlight for Jodie but she had to give her notice in at the show as due to getting a place in the world famous "X FACTOR" which she was lucky enough to gt to the final 30 and won much praise in the early stages from the infamous Mr Nasty Simon Cowell.
Unfortunately Jodie did not make the final parts of the shows and just missed out on getting to the live shows however it spurred her on to push for that all important recording career and it seems to have paid off as Jodie has a number 3 chart position with "Someone to Blame" in the Spanish dance charts, a UK release of "Movin" coming up shortly and is also currently studing at the London Metropolitian University.
