About Me

I'm the unicorn that Lola The Vamp dances with in her show Unicorn. I made my debut on the 16th of September 2006 at a big show called Valley Fiesta. I caused something of a stir - while riding through the mall on the way to the stage, we had many stops and stares! I also got photographed quite a lot that day, Sunday Mail, Alizart, not to mention the countless mobile phones that now have my image!
My next performance has surpassed my wildest dreams - I performed with Lola while she supported Nick Cave and Grinderman on their 2007 Australian Tour! I overheard Mr Cave compliment Lola on her Penthouse shoot while I rested backstage after our shows. A night of pure magic.
My co-performer, Lola The Vamp, is a showgirl, she takes her clothes off onstage a lot, and many people take pictures. You can see all about her, and more pictures of me on www.lolathevamp.net and www.myspace.com/lolathevamp.
As a little girl, Lola had a white pony called Queenie. She was a most gracious creature, of exquisite manners and kind nature. When she passed the moral coil, a friend gave Lola a silver charm of a Unicorn, and said "All horses become unicorns when they go to heaven". So when Lola and I met recently, she took only a second to decide to bring me home with her. And now I carry the proud name of Queenie!
I have a beautiful life, I live at Lola's house, under my own blanket and her bohemian friends are often over to drink absinthe and sit in my saddle.

My Interests

Feather Boas, crystal costumes, ballet shoes, audiences, Lola The Vamp: you know what they say about her? "Lola, the vamp, a woman so in control of her art form as to be more dominant the greater her state of undress, was magnetic. We are fish on hooks!" Miss Victoria Mist

I'd like to meet:

Lots of new friends, all over the world. Lola travels an awful lot with her showgirl numbers and I'm looking forward to seeing Australia, Paris, the UK, the USA, and anywhere else we get to fly!I also would like to meet other burlesque performer's horses. I'd love to perform with Immodesty Blaise and her rocking-horse, and Dita Von Teese and her carousel pony! Wouldn't that make a great three-ring-circus!!! Lola tells me that I am the prettiest pony in burlesque, but I think I have a lot to live up to with these two showponies!

Music:

Speak Softly Love on Piano Accordion and a jazz number called Black and Blue. There are my favorite songs, because these are the songs Lola and I dance to!

Movies:

See the movie Lola and I made on this page!

Television:

I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!

Books:

Burlesque and the New Bump and Grind by Michelle Baldwin. Lola is in this, a few years ago, before I knew her. She's also in the Mammoth Book of Erotic Women, and The Secret Life of The Gold Coast. She's working on a philosophy of burlesque right now, and recently published a little of it in the Spring Edition of Griffith Review, called The Next Big Thing.

Heroes:

Queenie (the original pony), Lola The Vamp
