cdRoots - a global music shop / RootsWorld - a magazine of music

About Me

If you want to make contact with me, please do it via the RootsWorld or cdRoots websites, and not through MySpace. I just don't check things here that often. Please do not expect a reply from MySpace!I'm Cliff Furnald and I run a little online music shop dedicated to folk, modern and unusual music from around the world, what they like to call 'world music' but you can call it what you want. You can find the shop at www.cdRoots.com
I am also the publisher/editor of the online rag RootsWorld , a magazine devoted to music from anywhere.
If you want to hear some of the music we write about in RootsWorld, drop in on the RootsWorld audio page, RootsRadio

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

No one in particular and everyone interested in creative new music with 'roots.' Drop me a note if you are a musician with a unique global sound, or if you are a listener looking for something "hard to find." RootsWorld is also always happy to hear from good writers (looking to work for nada). Finally, before you make a comment, be aware that I will not post comments with big graphics or purely commercial content. - Thanks.

Music:

To name just a few current favorites:
Hazmat Modine
Afrissippi
Daniele Sepe
Andrew Cronshaw
