TRIGOMIGO means intricate situation, a chaotic mish-mash and actually refers to the magical and joyful ensemble of tunes and instruments which meet on the land of diversity and which, in turn, create a single dance step, a single voice. The history of the band finds its roots in the summer fairs of the Valle Varaita (ITALY - PIEDMONT CUNEO) and is made up of hopes, hazy thoughts and musical ideas which, day by day, begin to define themselves and to form into a project. The four young musicians meet for the first time towards the end of 2001, finding out quite soon that they possess a peculiar sound, a strange and powerful synthesis which immediately breathes life through well defined notes. The common desire to make people dance is first in mind, mixing the old with the new, tradition and innovation, transferring joy to melodies, mixing the rhythmic growl of the hurdy-gurdy, the archaic chant of bagpipes, the sweetness of the violin and sensuality of the accordion with love for sounds which create one powerful whole, a mischievous Trigomigo.A coherent course emerges from early confusion; a course which crosses Piedmont and Europe. The band, closely linked to the Valle Varaita and its musical and cultural tradition, offers FOLK MUSIC OF THE OCCITAN TRADITION with experiences of musical tradition from the rest of Europe.Since 2004 the guitarist Dario Littera cooperates with the band.Trigomigo has played in international festivals both in Italy and France such as: "e ben vena magg", Alessandria; "Folle notte folk", Rivalta, TO; "Controcorrente", Torassi di Chivasso, TO; "Feufliazhe" , Bogève, Haute-Savoie,Francia; "Cantavalli", Roure, TO; "Gran Bal du Piémont", Sala Biellese, BI; "Les Nuits Alpines", Clermont, Haute-Savoie, FR; "Fête au Village", Megevette, Francia; "Fest in Valle", Salbertrand, TO; "Appennino Folk Festival", Pradovera-Farini, PC.
