Suzette Sargeant writes with a passion to open minds, and bring a sense of upliftment to a musical audience. Born in Brooklyn New York, Suzette spent half her childhood living in the caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago. As a child, she was exposed to the different musical sounds of the island. From calypso to reggae, as well as music from the Top 40. With heavy influence from the likes of "Bob Marley," to "Earth, Wind, And Fire," and some of the island's greats like, The "Mighty Sparrow," and "Crazy," it's quite evident that music has been a part of life for the aspiring songwriter. She began writing songs after pursuing a career in professional basketball in Europe, having played for several seasons, before succumbing to injury. The self-taught songwriter has been writing songs for six years and continues to develop after each penned song.
