Music Is Devine

About Me

Born into a dysfunctional and verbally abusive household, C~Devine found comfort in music at an early age. To escape the yelling and fighting of her quarreling parents, the young singer would sneak some old school music into her room, lock herself away and blast it as loud as she could to drown out her fears. At the age of 7 years old, C~Devine had an appreciation for Artists such as Earth Wind and Fire, Otis Redding, Patti Labelle, Billie Holiday, Michael Jackson, Lionell Richie, Smokey Robinson and many more. Never a big fan of performing for crowds, young Devine would decline the idea of performing for family and friends at social family events, but always would sing to herself and dream of having the courage to show everyone what she could do. "I've always preferred to write my feelings instead of talking about them, and when it comes to my music, I strive for the best and try to perfect anything I do so that I can do my passion for performing music some justice", says Ms Devine. This young lady has poetry and lyrical writings that date back to a tender age of 9 yrs old. A strong motivator for the young songstress has always been the desire to make her and her family's lives better. C~Devine's most commonly used phrases is "I was born into the hood but I refuse to die here", has proven true in her merciless dedication and work ethic toward what she loves. C~Devine's sound has been compared to the likes of Billie Holiday and she has been called a female Ray Charles. Some say she has a slight Hip Hop edge added to the cool sensation of Jazz and Soul. At 22 Andrea Boutte AKA "Creole Devine" is more focused than ever on making an impact on the quickly changing music industry. "I'd like to help bring back the appreciation for music with substance", says Devine. When asked to describe her style of music, C~Devine says "It's just real, undefined, and has no boundaries". You be the judge and listen to some of C~Devine's music. Make sure to check the page frequently for updates and performances. Ladies if you can feel where C~Devine is coming from with her hit song "Go Head", add it to your profile and sing it loud! "Thanks for all support and love", Creole Devine.
