Here are some basic facts about the weekend:
UPTIGHT started on May 8th in 1999 as a Soul Allnighter in Frankfurt am Main/Germany and developed into a fully-fledged 3-day weekender over the years. Currently it's run by soul lovers and founding members MR. GROOVE & ATZE KNAUF plus WELLER and is taking place twice a year in the mid of May and at the last weekend in November.
The weekender starts on a Friday night with a RARE SOUL NIGHT at Frankfurt's DREIKÖNIGSKELLER where guests and friends from all over Europe meet and have a couple of drinks while slowly dancing into the weekend.
The main event on Saturday, the UPTIGHT soul allnighter, is located at well known club ROBERT JOHNSON which is on the border between Frankfurt and Offenbach. It’s setting next to the River Main, with terraces overlooking the river is superb. It has two separate rooms for northern and modern soul, each with a wooden dancefloor and one of the best sound systems around.
The final night is entitled SUNDAE and took place this November for the first time at the new venue SILBERGOLD and featured a wide range of 7ties and up to date soul sounds for all marathon soul fans.
